I absolutely love taking care of my Skin, as even though I can’t really see what I look like anymore, I adore the feeling of having ultra-cleansed, soft, supple and hydrated Skin. Well after someone asked me the other day, “I know I should be looking after my Skin but I just don’t know where to start”, I thought I would tell you five things that I think everyone should have in their Skincare Arsenal.
Now before we begin, I just want to say that I haven’t included an SPF, Sun Protection Factor, as this is something that everyone should be wearing everyday, even in the UK. Not only does it protect you from the Sun’s harmful UBA and UVB rays, but it can also slow down the look of ageing and prevent any Skin Pigmentation that you might already have from getting worse.
Anyway, that’s enough of me rambling, here’s five things that I think everyone should have in their Skincare Arsenal.

A picture of my Face.
1. A Microfibre Cloth.
A Microfibre Cloth is amazing, because as well as lightly exfoliating your Skin whilst you’re cleansing your Face, it also supercharges whatever Cleanser you’re using. This means that as well as cleansing and exfoliating your Face, you’re also not using as much Cleanser as you usually would, so are saving yourself a little bit of money as well as being kinder to the Planet.
2. Some kind of Alpha-Hydroxy Acid.
An Alpha-Hydroxy Acid, AHA, is great for all Skin Types, as they work at removing any Dead Skin Cells from your Face with very little effort. Now you do have to be careful not to overdo it by using one that’s too harsh for your Skin, but something like a Lactic Acid is great for everyone as it’s originally derived from Milk so it also hydrates your Skin as well as getting rid of any Dead Skin Cells that you might have.
3. Some kind of Hyaluronic Acid.
If you like your Skin to feel plump and hydrated, Hyaluronic Acid will be your best friend. Not only has it been clinically proven to hold up to 1000 times it’s own weight in Water which means that it intensely hydrates and plumps your Skin, but it’s also great for anyone trying to get rid of any Fine Lines or Wrinkles that they might have. Now even though it wont actually get rid of any Fine Lines or Wrinkles that you might have, it will plump out the area so that the Fine Lines and Wrinkles look ever so slightly minimised.
4. Some kind of Squalane Oil.
Squalane Oil is fantastic for any kind of Skin Type, but it’s especially great for Dry Skin as it’s usually derived from either Olive Oil or Sugar Cane and hydrates and moisturises your Skin without leaving it feeling greasy. It can also be used on your Hair and Body, which means that it’s a fantastic multi-purpose Oil that you can use anywhere to add extra moisturisation whenever you have a bit of Dry Skin.
5. Some kind of Vitamin C.
Everyone really should be using some kind of Vitamin C in their daily Skincare Routine, as not only does it act as an Antioxidant fighting against Pollution and other environmental aggressors during the day, but when you use it at night it also evens Skin Tone, fights against Pigmentation and gives your Skin a much needed shot of radiance, and who wouldn’t like more radiant Skin?
There’s a lot more things that I think everyone should have in their Skincare Arsenal, but I thought that I would just tell you five of them.
