If you didn’t already know, last year some Patches of Eczema appeared underneath both of my Eyes, and even though my Doctor gave me some very powerful Cortisone Cream to get rid of them, every now and then they unfortunately reappear. Well after dealing with them disappearing and then reappearing for over a year now, I thought that I would tell you the five things that I think everyone should have in their Skincare arsenal if they suffer from Eczema.
Anyway, that’s enough of me rambling, here’s five things that I think everyone should have in their Skincare Arsenal if they suffer from Eczema.

A picture of my Face.
1. Some kind of Hydrating Facial Mist.
A really nice hydrating Facial Mist is great to have on Hand, even when you aren’t in the middle of an Eczema flare-up, but when you are it really comes into it’s element, as depending on it’s ingredients it will instantly soothe and hydrate your Skin. It’s also great if you store it in the Fridge, as the extra bit of coolness will hopefully stop any of the burning or itching sensation that you have.
2. Some kind of Cica Serum.
Cica, or Tiger Grass, is perfect if you’re right in the middle of a flare-up and want to instantly calm your Skin down, as not only does it instantly soothe your Skin, but it also moisturises it and protects it from any further irritation..
3. Some kind of Ceramide Moisturiser.
A Ceramide Moisturiser is great for any Skin Type, as it contains Ceramides which basically acts like a Glue for your Skin Cells so that they stay together, a little bit like the Mortar in between the Bricks of a House. But if you have Eczema, it means that you’re Skin Barrier has become damaged in some way, shape or form, meaning that you have to repair it, and using anything that contains Ceramides will hopefully help to bind it back together again without further irritating it.
4. Some kind of Oat Kernel Barrier Cream.
Anything that contains Oat Kernel Extract is amazing, because as well as instantly soothing your Skin, it also intensely hydrates and moisturises it throughout the day too. Plus, it will hopefully stop any of the burning or itching sensation that you have when you’re right in the middle of a flare-up.
5. Some kind of Colour Correcting Treatment.
It’s all well and good having a great Skincare Routine that soothes your Skin and doesn’t irritate it, but unfortunately Eczema is fairly unpredictable and can leave you with red and flaky Skin at any point. This is especially frustrating when you’ve planned to meet Friends for a few Drinks, have a very important meeting, or just want to look nice for once. It’s not something that you should be doing every day, but if you want to cover up the Red patches of Skin for a few hours a Colour Correcting Treatment will be your best friend. I would however recommend that you use something that also contains ingredients that will actually soothe and hydrate your Skin though, instead of just using a Green Concealer.
There’s a lot more things that I think everyone should have in their Skincare Arsenal if they suffer from Eczema, but I thought that I would just tell you five of them.
