At the beginning of the year, I always like to set myself a couple of little goals. Nothing too big, just a few things that I would like to achieve throughout the year, and I thought that I would tell you five of the things that I would like to achieve during 2022 and whether or not I managed to achieve 2021’s goals.
Anyway, that’s enough of me rambling, here’s five things that I would like to achieve in 2022.

A picture of me holding my Red Cane.
1. Leave the House more often.
With COVID19 and all of the various different Lockdowns that we’ve been in, i’ve become really comfortable with not leaving the House unless absolutely necessary. In fact, it’s gotten to the point where I actually get a little bit anxious about leaving the House, and I would love to get to a point where i’m comfortable at leaving the House again.
2. Get more involved in the Male Body Positivity Movement.
For anyone who doesn’t already know, i’ve been periodically posting a few pictures of myself in my Underwear on Instagram in an effort to get more comfortable with the fact that i’ll never be someone who is conventionally skinny, but I would like to post more often and get a little bit more involved with some of the Instagram Communities that promote celebrating your size.
3. Not spend so much time scrolling through TikTok.
Over the past year i’ve discovered the wormhole that is TikTok. Unfortunately though, even though I generally say i’m just going to scroll for five minutes, before I know it an entire hour has gone by and i’ve totally forgotten what it is that I was supposed to be doing. So I would love to be able to say i’m only going to scroll for five minutes and actually stick to it.
4. Explore Leeds a little bit more.
Both me and Jamie visit Leeds quite a lot, whether it’s to attend some kind of a Blogging Event or for a day of Shopping, and we usually tend to stick to the same areas including Briggate, Trinity Leeds, the Merrion Centre, and Victoria Leeds. So I would love to explore Leeds a little bit more and discover some of it’s hidden gems.
5. Condense my Tea Cabinet.
I have an inordinate amount of Tea, in fact it’s so much that no one person will ever finish it, so I would love to either finish a few of the many Bags of Tea that I have or give some of it away so that I just have the ones that I truly love instead of holding on to weird and wacky flavours including Cherry Cola Bottles, Maple Bacon Pancakes, and Panettone.
There you go, that’s the five things I would like to achieve in 2022, but did I manage to achieve 2021’s Goals?
Well yes and no, as I managed to achieve three out of five of them, which I think is actually really good.
1. Cut down on the amount of Junk Food that I eat.
Don’t get me wrong, I still eat a fair amount of Junk Food, but I have cut down on the amount that I eat and instead of hoarding masses amounts of Biscuits, Chocolate and Crisps, I now just have a small stash of the Chocolate that I truly love.
2. See more live Comedy, Music and Theatre Shows.
Unfortunately due to COVID19 I didn’t manage to achieve this one, as a lot of the Shows that I had planned to see, including Jimmy Carr, Jon Richardson, and The Pussycat Dolls, either got cancelled or rescheduled. I did manage to see Chicago The Musical, Katherine Ryan, Steps, and Sarah Millican though.,,
3. Explore Manchester a little bit more.
Again, thanks to COVID19 I didn’t manage to achieve this one either, as I only really visited Manchester once last year to see Steps perform their What The Future Holds Tour .
4. Find a way to manage my Stress Levels.
I actually managed to achieve this one too, but like everyone, I still get stressed from time to time, but at least i’ve found a few ways to manage it a little bit more, including scheduling in some days where I do absolutely nothing, meditating more, and running myself a nice, long Bath at the end of a very stressful day.
5. Finally finish using some of the masses amount of products that I have.
I also managed to achieve this one too, as not only did I manage to finish using quite a lot of things during 2021, but I also managed to condense quite a lot of my Beauty & Skincare collection down to four Shelves instead of having it dotted around my Room.
There you go, that’s the five things that I would like to achieve in 2022 and whether or not I managed to achieve 2021’s goals.

First, can never have enough tea. 🙂 But I understand about the weird flavours, I like drinking tea, not sweets. 😛
Second, I need to work on managing my stress levels! Herbal Tea helps and so does exercise for me, but I need to have a stronger commitment to it. I am glad you were able to make decreasing stress a priority and that you have made significant progress on it!
