A couple of weeks ago whilst the Government’s Eat Out To Help Out Scheme was in effect, both me and Jamie decided to pop to Icestone Gelato Leeds to treat ourselves to some of their incredibly tasty Desserts, and after having an absolutely amazing time stuffing our Faces full of all their delicious Food & Drink, I thought that I would tell you all about it.
What is Icestone Gelato Leeds?
Icestone Gelato Leeds, is a Dessert Parlour that serves a wide range of incredibly tasty and handmade Desserts, including Gelato, Waffles, Crapes, Cookie Dough, Freakshakes, and much more in the heart of Leeds. They also have Restaurants in Batley, Birmingham, Bradford, Chester, Durham, Huddersfield, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, Middlesbrough, and Newcastle.
What happened when I visited Icestone Gelato Leeds?
Once me and Jamie had finally arrived in Leeds, and had wandered around for a little while, we eventually headed to Icestone Gelato Leeds which is located next door but one to Subway inside the St Johns Shopping Centre on Albion Street in Leeds City Centre.
Then once we had walked into the very bright and modern looking restaurant, we were very kindly greeted by one of their really nice Staff Members who said hi, and asked us if we were ok. We said hi back, and that yes we were, and after a minute or two of us all chatting, he showed us to a massive Table with some really comfy Leather Chairs opposite their huge Glass Counter. He also said that he hoped that we enjoyed ourselves, and that once we were ready to order to just go over to the Counter and place our order.

Then after a couple of minutes of us both chatting and looking at the menu, Jamie went over to the Counter to place our order. We both ordered a Coke as even though they also do some very delicious sounding Freakshakes and Milkshakes, we were planning on grabbing a Drink from somewhere else later after we had done a little bit of Shopping. Then once he had returned and we had been chatting for a few more minutes, all of our Food started to arrive.
What I had to eat at Icestone Gelato Leeds..

A picture of the Icestone Gelato Leeds Banoffee Cookie Dough with Amarena Cherry Gelato.
The first thing that I had to eat was their Banoffee Cookie Dough with Amarena Cherry Gelato, Chocolate Cookie Dough with slices of fresh Banana drizzled with Toffee Sauce and served with a scoop of Amarena Cherry Gelato.
I absolutely loved this, as I thought that the Cookie Dough tasted incredibly sweet and chocolatey but also had a little bit of a savoury note to it as they had sprinkled some Cinnamon all over the top of it. I also really liked that it was absolutely loaded with little Chocolate Chips and that it had a fantastic soft and chewy texture to it, that there were loads of pieces of Fresh Banana rather than there just being a handful of them like some of the other Cookie Doughs that iv’e tried in the past, and that all of the Toffee Sauce gave it an extra layer of sweetness. Another thing that I really liked was the Amarena Cherry Gelato, as even though I was expecting it to taste really sour, it actually tasted really sweet and just tasted like a Gelato version of the Haribo Happy Cherries Sweets that I love. I also really liked that even though it was called a Gelato, that it had a really firm consistency to it rather than just being a massive blob of frozen mush.

The last and final thing that I had to eat was their Nutella & Strawberry Cookie Dough with Kinder Bueno Gelato, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough with slices of Strawberries drizzled with Chocolate Sauce and served with a scoop of Kinder Bueno Gelato.
I really liked this, as I thought that the Cookie Dough tasted incredibly sweet and chocolatey and also had an extra little bit of sweetness to it as they had hidden little blobs of Nutella all throughout the centre of it. I also really liked that it was absolutely loaded with little Chocolate Chips and that it had a fantastic soft and chewy texture to it, that there were lots of pieces of Fresh Strawberries rather than there only being a handful of them like some of the other Cookie Doughs that i’ve tried in the past, and that all of the Chocolate Sauce gave it an extra layer of sweetness. Another thing that I really liked was the Kinder Bueno Gelato, as it had little bits of crumbled up Kinder Bueno running all the way through it rather than just faintly tasting of Kinder Bueno. I also really liked that even though it was called a Gelato, that it had a really firm consistency to it rather than just being a massive blob of frozen mush.
Then once we had finally finished stuffing our Faces full of all of their delicious Food and Drink, we decided that it was time to head off. So we said our thank you’s and goodbye’s to all of the very kind Staff Members that we had met throughout our meal, and headed off back into Leeds to do a little bit of Shopping.
I had a fantastic time at Icestone Gelato Leeds, and if you’re looking for a great place to relax with a few friends over a really tasty Dessert, I highly recommend that you check them out.
