I definitely think that my sense of smell has change lately, as i’ve strangely been drawn to scents that I usually hate like Eucalyptus, Mint, and Rose. That’s why when the guys over at Wild Hare UK very kindly told me that I had won a Bottle of the Man Made Beard Company The Family Man Beard Oil as part of their Charity Raffle, I was obviously really excited to get my Hands on it and start using it. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Man Made Beard Company say about their The Family Man Beard Oil.
The Family Man is a Rock. Calm, reassuring and comfortable in his own Skin, he leads by example and his word is his bond. Whether he’s roughhousing with the Kids or enjoying some alone time with his Spouse, this is a Man people look up to and rely on.
The Family Man range combines fresh Spearmint with the musky menthol of Eucalyptus to create an invigorating, masculine scent that will keep your Beard looking and smelling great throughout the day.
It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Spearmint Oil, and Eucalyptus Oil, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly grassy Spearmint scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a Jar of Mint Sauce when you’re having a Roast Lamb Dinner for Sunday Lunch.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Beard Oil, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly watery Facial Serum rather than a thick and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Beard Oil.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Beard, it turned from an incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly watery Facial Serum into a thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Beard Oil that spread really easily through my Beard.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Beard and the Skin underneath and around it feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy, thicker, fuller, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly grassy Spearmint for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as even though this came in a short rectangular Glass Bottle with a Rubber Pipette Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves, it unfortunately came with a Childproof Lid that was extremely hard to open. I also noticed that it’s Childproof Lid made the top of the Rubber Pipette detach from it’s surrounding piece of Plastic every time that I opened it.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Man Made Beard Company The Family Man Beard Oil a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly grassy Spearmint scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very hard to open Childproof Lid. I also wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Eucalyptus, as with it containing so much Spearmint, I thought that the very strong smell of Mint kind of overpowered all of the Eucalyptus Oil.
