If you didn’t already know, last December I was hit by one of the worst Colds that i’ve probably ever had which basically left me not being able to stand up for more than five minutes at a time without feeling violently ill. That’s why when the guys over at Divine Teas very kindly asked me if I would like to try one of their Organic Turmeric Tea 15g Jar that claims to help boost your Immune System and fight against Cold and Flu, I of course said yes. Well i’ve been drinking it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

An Organic Tea packed with love and goodness. Our Tea contains all Organic Turmeric, Fennel, Ginger, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Liquorice and Black Pepper. Described as a Hug in a Mug this is the most gorgeous Tea to drink in the Autumn or Winter months and can be equally enjoyed as a chilled drink in the warmer months.
15g makes approximately 15 Cups.
How to enjoy your Divine Tea.
One-quarter Teaspoon(or to taste) with either hot Water or Milk.
Stir gently and let the Powder settle to the bottom.
For an Iced Latte, chill and add Ice.
Add sweetener if needed.
Top Tip.
When drinking it as a Tea, just top it up again with some Hot Water.
It’s brewing time.
I really liked it’s brewing time, as it said to stir in a quarter of a Teaspoon into either Water or Milk at 80ºC, which I thought was the perfect temperature, as whenever I brewed it any lower I thought that it tasted incredibly weak and basically just tasted of really sweet Sugar Water, and that when I brewed it any higher that it tasted extremely sour and just tasted of Turmeric and Black Pepper.
It’s taste.
I absolutely loved it’s taste, as even though it contained Turmeric, Fennel, Cinnamon, Ginger, Liquorice, Cardamom, and Black Pepper, I thought that it had a delicious deep and spicy yet ever so slightly malty Turmeric and Ginger taste to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had covered a Ginger Nut Biscuit in some Turmeric Powder and then had dunked it in a massive Mug of Black Tea.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short hexagonal Glass Jar with a screw top Lid that kept all of the Powder really fresh until I was ready to use it.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Divine Teas Organic Turmeric Tea 15g Jar a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s brewing time, it’s delicious deep and spicy yet ever so slightly malty Turmeric and Ginger taste, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a Teabag instead of just being a loose Powder.
