My Skin Is Having Avocado For Breakfast | The Body Shop Avocado Body Butter

One of my favourite The Body Shop products definitely has to be their Body Butters, as I absolutely love how incredibly silky soft, hydrated and intensely moisturised they leave my Skin feeling. That’s why when I had heard that they had reformulated their entire Body Butter range to make them all Vegan as well as released an Avocado Body Butter that claims to nourish and protect your Skin for up to 96 hours of moisture, I obviously had to pop down to my local The Body Shop store and pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Shea Butter, Cocoa Seed Butter, Stearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Sunflower Seed Oil, Brazil Nut Seed Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Triethyl Citrate, Fragrance, Avocado Oil, Dimethicone, Rice Bran Wax, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Caprylyl Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Tocopherol, Citric Acid, Caramel, CI 19140/Yellow 5, and CI 42090/Blue 1, I thought that it had a very strange sweet and tropical yet ever so slightly grassy Avocado and Coconut scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured an entire Can of Coconut Milk over a perfectly ripened Avocado.

It’s consistency.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Butter, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy Styling Paste rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Body Butter.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy Styling Paste into an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Body Butter that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy, plump, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it smelling of very strange sweet and tropical yet ever so slightly grassy Avocado and Coconut for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short rounded cylindrical Tub with an Aluminium Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate The Body Shop Avocado Body Butter a seven out of ten. I absolutely loved what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange sweet and tropical yet ever so slightly grassy Avocado and Coconut scent. I also wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy consistency, as I found it very difficult to get off of my Hands whenever I tried to massage a little bit of it into my Skin.
