Even though there’s been quite a lot of controversy in the Lush World lately because of their Body Butters containing too much Brazil Nut Oil and them smelling overwhelmingly of Nuts, I still wanted to check them out for myself as I was really looking forward to them being released. That’s why when I popped down to my local Lush store to check out all of their Body Spray range a couple of weeks ago and saw that they had a massive display featuring all nine of their infamous Body Butters, I obviously had to check them out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Tub of Creamy Candy Body Butter, a Tub of Pineapple Tart Body Butter, and a Tub of Sex Bomb Body Butter, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.
Here’s what Lush say about all three delicious smelling products.

Here’s the closest you’ll get to covering yourself in Vanilla Ice Cream, without the obvious downsides. Antioxidant-rich Brazil Nut Oil leaves Skin truly soft and scrumptious as this Cult-Classic Fragrance banishes all that’s Greige in a wink of Pink.

Massage into dry Skin fresh out of a particularly steamy Bath or Shower to soak up the rich Butters and seal in moisture. For those hard-to-reach places? You can always ask for some assistance.

It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Brazil Nut Oil, Glycerine, Murumuru Butter, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Almond Oil, Propylene Glycol, Organic Avocado Oil, Stearic Acid, Cupuaçu Butter, Triethanolamine, Vanilla Absolute, Fair Trade Organic Aloe Vera Gel, Cetearyl Alcohol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, and Fragrance, I thought that it had a very strange sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly nutty Almond scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had dropped an entire Bottle of Vanilla Extract into a massive Bowl of Cake Batter.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Butter, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy Body Cream rather than a thick and buttery yet ever so slightly creamy Body Butter.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy Body Cream into a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly buttery Body Lotion that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it smelling of very strange sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly nutty Almond for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical White Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Brazil Nut Oil, Glycerine, Murumuru Butter, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Almond Oil, Propylene Glycol, Organic Avocado Oil, Stearic Acid, Cupuaçu Butter, Triethanolamine, Davana Oil, Tonka Absolute, Fir Balsam Resinoid, Fair Trade Organic Aloe Vera Gel, Cetearyl Alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol, Coumarin, Limonene, and Fragrance, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and tropical yet ever so slightly nutty Pineapple scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured some Chunks of Pineapple over a Pie Case that’s been smothered in some Peanut Butter.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Butter, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy Body Cream rather than a thick and buttery yet ever so slightly creamy Body Butter.
What it did when I used it.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Brazil Nut Oil, Glycerine, Murumuru Butter, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Almond Oil, Propylene Glycol, Organic Avocado Oil, Stearic Acid, Cupuaçu Butter, Triethanolamine, Jasmine Absolute, Clary Sage Oil, Ylang Ylang Oil, Fair Trade Organic Aloe Vera Gel, Synthetic Musk, Cetearyl Alcohol, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Limonene, Linalool, and Fragrance, I thought that it had a very subtile sweet and floral yet ever so slightly nutty Jasmine scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured some Brazil Nut Oil over a massive Pile of freshly picked Jasmine Petals.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Butter, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy Body Cream rather than a thick and buttery yet ever so slightly creamy Body Butter.

My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Lush Creamy Candy Body Butter a six out of ten, the Lush Pineapple Tart Body Butter a seven out of ten, and the Lush Sex Bomb Body Butter a six point five out of ten. I really liked the Lush Creamy Candy Body Butter, as I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly nutty Almond scent. I really liked the Lush Pineapple Tart Body Butter, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and tropical yet ever so slightly nutty Pineapple scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Pineapple. I really liked the Lush Sex Bomb Body Butter, as I absolutely loved it’s very subtile fresh and floral yet ever so slightly nutty Jasmine scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Jasmine. I also think that if they had doubled the amount of Fragrance in each Body Butter after it had been pulled from Shelves for containing a severely strong batch of Brazil Nut Oil instead of just leaving it to develop, that they would have smelt perfectly fine. But when you are paying between £11 and £26, depending on the size of the Tub for a Body Butter, you don’t really want it to smell overwhelmingly of Brazil Nut Oil now do you? Especially when it’s from somewhere that’s really well known for their very strong Fragrances.
