A Leisurely Night Out | Bradford Leisure Exchange Blogger Night | Gifted

A couple of weeks ago, both me and Jamie were very kindly invited down to the Bradford Leisure Exchange to come and try some of the fun and delicious Businesses that they have on offer, and after having an amazing night checking everything out, I thought that I would tell you all about it.

Here’s what the Bradford Leisure Exchange say about themselves.

The Bradford Leisure Exchange, is a collection of leisure businesses and Restaurants including Cineworld, Hollywood Bowl, Funzy, Holiday Inn Express, Pizza Hut, Nando’s, and Frankie & Benny’s all located in the heart of Bradford City Centre.

What happened when I visited the Bradford Leisure Exchange?

Once we had finally arrived in Bradford, and had done a little bit of Shopping, we eventually headed to the Bradford Leisure Exchange, which is located past the Bradford Interchange on Vicar Lane in Bradford City Centre.

Then once we had arrived at Nando’s, which was where we were all meeting, we were very kindly greeted by Laurissa, the really nice lady who had invited us, who said hi, and asked us if we were Luke and Jamie. We said hi back, and that yes we were, and after a couple of seconds of us all chatting, she said that she hoped that we had a great time and to go on in as there was a Table waiting for us.

Then once we had walked into the very bright and spacious Restaurant, we found our Table and started to look at the menu, and after a couple of minutes of us all chatting and trying to decide what to order Laurissa went over to the counter to place our order and get us our Drinks. Then after a couple more minutes of us all chatting and sipping our Drinks, all of our Food started to arrive.

What I had to eat at Nando’s Bradford.

A small circular white ceramic bowl full of some light brown hummus next to some golden brown semi-circular pieces of pitta bread and a small rectangular glass bottle full of some dark red liquid on a small circular white plate on a light wooden table, on a white background.

The first thing that I had to eat and Drink was their Hummus with Peri Peri Drizzle, Hummus served with a Peri Peri Drizzle and warm Pita Bread triangles.

I absolutely loved this, as I thought that the Hummus was incredibly thick and creamy whilst also having a little bit of a zesty almost Lemon taste to it, i’m not entirely sure what was in it other than Chickpeas, but I loved it! I also thought that the Pita Bread Triangles were really light and fluffy but was also crispy around the edges so that they didn’t fall apart whenever I dunked them into the Hummus. I didn’t actually eat any of the Peri Peri Drizzle as i’m an absolute wuss when it comes to anything with even a hint of spice, and I also didn’t actually notice it’s tiny little Bottle until after I had eaten most of the Hummus.

Then once we had finally finished eating all of our delicious Food, we decided to move on to Pizza Hut. So after we had grabbed our Bags and Coats, we said our thank you’s and goodbye’s to some of the really nice staff members that we had met, and headed on over to Pizza Hut.
Then once we had entered the very bright and modern looking Restaurant, we were very kindly greeted by one of their really nice staff members, who said hi, and asked us if we would like a Table. We said hi back, and once Laurissa had explained to him who we were, he showed us to a really nice Table with some very comfy Leather Seats opposite a massive Window. He then said that they currently had an offer available where you could get unlimited Salad, a Pizza, Pasta or Flatbread and a bottomless Drink for only £14.99, and that he would be back in a few minutes to take our order. Then we all just sat and chatted for a couple of minutes before another really nice staff member came over to take our Drinks order, and after another minute or two after that, another one of their really nice staff members also came over to take our Food order too. Then after a couple more minutes of us all chatting and sipping our Drinks, all of our Food started to arrive.

What I had to eat at Pizza Hut Bradford.

Some small cylindrical golden brown spring rolls on a small circular white plate on a light wooden table, on a white background.

The first thing that I had to eat was their Jack ‘N’ Rolls, baked Rolls filled with Sweet Chilli Sauce, Barbecue Jackfruit and Vegan Cheese.

These were delicious but were very strange, as they were essentially a Vegan Spring Roll. But I thought that the Roll itself was really light and fluffy, that the Barbecue Jackfruit was cooked to perfection as it was incredibly soft and tender with a tiny amount of smokiness to it, and that the Sweet Chilli Sauce was really sweet and sticky yet ever so slightly fruity. To be honest I didn’t actually notice the Vegan Cheese, but given that i’m very particular when it comes to Cheese it was probably a good thing.

The next thing that I had to eat was their Deep Pan BBQ Americano Melt Pizza with a Cheese Stuffed Crust, Chicken Breast, Bacon and sweetcorn smothered in Barbecue Sauce on a Deep Pan Base with a Mozzarella Cheese Stuffed Crust.

This was amazing ,as I thought that the Deep Pan Pizza Base was really thick and doughy, that the Chicken Breast and Bacon were cooked to perfection as they both had that really nice caramelised taste to them, that the Barbecue Sauce was really sweet and sticky, and that the Sweetcorn added a really nice bit of freshness and added crunch to the entire Pizza. I also really liked the Cheese Stuffed Crust, as it had the perfect combination of being both melted and chewy at the same time, but it did mean that I unfortunately got too full after only eating a couple of slices.

Then once we had finally finished stuffing our Faces full of all of the delicious Food & Drink, we decided to head over to Hollywood Bowl. So we grabbed our Bags and Coats, said our thank you’s and goodbye’s to all of the really nice staff members that we had met, and headed on over to Hollywood Bowl.
Then once we had walked into the very busy and brightly neon lit Bowling Alley, we headed over to the Counter and said hi to the really friendly staff member who was stood behind it, and after Laurissa had explained to her who we were, she showed us to their very swanky V.I.P Lane that had some really comfy Leather Chairs dotted around it. Then once we had set up our Game by entering our names into the Scoring Machine, the really friendly staff member came back over to take our Drinks order, and after a few minutes of us all chatting, she returned with our Drinks. We then just enjoyed our Game which was hilarious as it was a little bit tricky with me being Visually Impaired, but I had a great game. I got a couple of spares, a Gutter Ball that managed to miss every single Pin despite me using the Bumpers, and I even managed to pull my classic move of nearly breaking something, but that’s for another post, haha!

What I had to Drink at Hollywood Bowl Bradford.

The first thing that I had to drink was their Classic Mojito, Lemon Juice, Lime Juice and Rum garnished with Ice and Sprigs of Mint.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of this, as even though I usually love a good Mojito, I thought that this tasted nothing like a good Mojito and basically tasted like I was drinking a massive Glass of watered down Toothpaste, which as you can probably guess wasn’t particularly nice. I did however liked that they had garnished it with some Sprigs of Mint though, as I thought that it added a really nice finishing touch.

Then the last and final thing that I had to drink was their Striker, Mango Juice, Passion Fruit Juice, vodka and Orange Juice served over Ice.

I absolutely loved this, as even though it was essentially just a Glass of Mango Juice, Passion Fruit Juice and Orange Juice with a little bit of Alcohol in it, I thought that it tasted like I was drinking an alcoholic version of a really fruity Glass of Rubican.

Then once we had finally finished our game of Bowling and our Drinks, we decided that it was time to head off. So we said our thank you’s and goodbye’s to the really nice staff member that we had met, thanked Laurissa for inviting us, and headed off back into Bradford to catch our Bus.

I had a fantastic time checking out everything that the Bradford Leisure Exchange had on offer, and if you’re looking for a great place to relax with some delicious Food & Drink and fun things to do in Bradford, then I highly recommend that you check them out.

I was very kindly gifted a night of Food, Drink and Entertainment at the Bradford Leisure Exchange, but all thoughts, opinions, and general ramblings are my own.
