The Smell Of The Spoken Word | George Lamptey London Candles

As you probably already know, I absolutely love discovering new and interesting Candles. That’s why when the guys over at George Lamptey London very kindly asked me if I would like to try a few of their delicious smelling candles, I of course said yes. Well i’ve been burning them for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what George Lamptey London say about themselves.

We are a range of three delicious smelling luxury Candles all inspired by the poetry written by our founder George Lamptey, an actor and poet from Dulwich, London.

Here’s what George Lamptey London say about all three scents.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though i’m not usually a massive fan of anything that smells of Rose, because this also contained Cassis, it had a delicious rich and fruity yet floral scent to it that kind of reminded me of the woman’s department of a perfume shop.

It’s scent throw.

I really liked it’s scent throw, as even though it didn’t fill the entire top floor of my house like some other Candles have done, it did manage to fill my room with a rich fruity yet floral scent that lasted for hours even after I had blown it out.

It’s burn time.

It said that you were supposed to get up to 30 hours of burn time out of this, but as I always kept my wick trimmed, I easily got at least 40 hours of delicious rich fruity yet floral scent out of it.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as I thought that this had a gorgeous sweet and earthy yet masculine scent to it that kind of reminded me of a blooming Fig Tree during Summer.

It’s scent throw.

I really liked it’s scent throw, as even though it was one of those scents that I only noticed once I had gone out of and had come back into the room again, it did eventually fill my room with a delicious sweet and earthy yet masculine scent within about ten or so minutes of me lighting it.

It’s burn time.

It’s scent.

I was a little apprehensive about this one, as i’ve tried quite a lot of Salted Caramel Candles in my time and have always found them to smell extremely overpowering. But I actually really liked it’s scent, as even though it did smell extremely sweet, it was actually rather subtile and kind of reminded me of a bowl of homemade Caramel Ice Cream.

It’s scent throw.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the George Lamptey London Beyond Love a nine out of ten, the George Lamptey London Passion an eight point five out of ten, and the George Lamptey London Sweet Honey a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved all three Candles, but I definitely think that both the George Lamptey London Beyond Love and the George Lamptey London Sweet Honey had to be my favourites, as I was expecting to absolutely hate them both. I did like the George Lamptey London Passion, but I think that it was just missing that little bit of something extra for me to like it as much as the other two Candles.

If you would like to check out any of these three delicious smelling Candles from George Lamptey London for yourselves, then you can find them online here.

I was very kindly sent a George Lamptey London Beyond Love Candle, a George Lamptey London Passion Candle, and a George Lamptey London Sweet Honey Candle to review, but all thoughts, opinions, and general ramblings are my own.
