The Warmest Christmas Sweater Around | Lush Christmas 2017 Range

As you probably already know, I absolutely love it when Lush releases one of their limited edition ranges. That’s why when I had heard that they had released their Christmas 2017 range, I of course had to hop onto their website and check everything out. Well after checking everything out, I eventually bought the Christmas Sweater Bath Bomb, the Plum Snow Bubble Bar, the Golden Pear Soap, a bottle of the Santa’s Christmas Shower Cream, and a tub of the Once Upon A Time Body Lotion, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about all five gorgeous Christmas products.

The Christmas Sweater Bath Bomb.

It’s getting hot in here, so take off all your Christmas Jumpers and Socks and jump into a steamy bath!

After a busy day of shopping and carrying around all those presents, drop this hot and spicy bomb into the water for some fizzy-ho therapy. Sicilian Lemon Oil with Mustard and Ginger Powders will ease muscles and warm you to your soul. Coriander Seed and Clove Bud Oils are sure to spice up your wife and hygge your husband!

The Plum Snow Bubble Bar.

Tell Jack Frost to get lost and leave your nose alone. This joyful juicy Bubble Bar will have you dancing in a blizzard of fruity foam. Crumble under running water to whip up a flurry of Plum and Sicilian Mandarin scented bubbles, and let them whisk your worries away. As you bathe, a hint of Osmanthus catches on the breeze with a tantalising promise of spring.
Let it Plum Snow, Let it Plum Snow, Let it Plum Snow!

The Golden Pear Soap.

On the twelfth day of Christmas.

My true love sent to me.
A jar of Pear Puree.
Murumuru Butter.
Warming Cardamom Oil.
Some Agave Syrup.
Brazilian Orange Oil.
Organic Cocoa Butter.
A drop of Almond Oil.
Five golden things.
Sandalwood Oil.
Creamy Coconut.
A whole Organic Clove…

Are all part of Golden Pear Soap.
This Pear-fect little Soap creates a luxurious lather on the skin. Pear Puree and Cardamom Oil cover skin in a scent reminiscent of warm fruit desserts and spiced cakes, while Murumuru Butter moisturises and softens skin. A classy addition to any Christmas bath or shower. Wrap in a knot wrap and hide in the Tree’s Branches for a sumptuously scented treat .

The Santa’s Christmas Shower Cream.

When Father Christmas has finished whizzing around the world in his sleigh, he needs a pick-me-up. Fizz open this sweet and spicy shower cream for a cleanse worthy of Santa Claus. With warming Cinnamon infusion and spicy Black Pepper Oil, your skin will feel revitalised. Cocoa Butter makes for silky skin while Coffee infusion wakes you up and gives you a comforting and energising burst. Breathe in the familiar Cola scent and get your bubble back.

The Once Upon A Time Body Lotion.

Are you sitting comfortably? Then we’ll begin…
Once upon a time there was a Prince who wanted to have the most perfectly soft skin, but only the best and delightful Apple scented lotion would do. He travelled all over the world to find one but nowhere could he get what he wanted. There were lotions enough and bath oils galore, but nothing tickled his fancy. He didn’t like Lavender and didn’t want Bananas or Patchouli either. So he came home again and was sad, for he would have liked very much to have a lotion that smelled like Apples!
After some time, the Prince came across a magical shop in the nearby town. The shop claimed to sell the most beautiful body lotions in all the land. He strode in and was immediately greeted by the most wonderful smells! He begged for the Apple scented lotion he so desperately wanted and with a flick of their wrist and a twinkle in their eye, the Lush shop Elf summoned a tub. The Prince took a sniff and was immediately bowled over by the scent. With Apple infusion, Lemon Oil and Grapefruit, the Prince had finally found his true love. He applied the lotion everyday and lived happily ever after with super soft skin.

The Christmas Sweater Bath Bomb.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as I thought that it’s blend of Sicilian Lemon Oil, Mustard Powder, Ginger Powder, Coriander Seed Oil and Clove Bud Oil all blended together to create a gorgeous deep and spicy scent that kind of reminded me of a milder version of their Hot Toddy Shower Gel.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the water, it fizzed and hissed for a second or so before releasing streams of various different colours all over the surface of the water that eventually blended together and turned my bath water a gorgeous deep Red Mulled Wine colour. I was a little disappointed that it took so long to dissolve though, as I had to physically break it up after about ten or so minutes of me getting into the bath.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as even though it wasn’t the most moisturising bath bomb that i’ve ever used, as I had to use quite a lot of body lotion after I had gotten out of the bath, It’s scent did last on my skin for a good couple of hours afterwards.

The Plum Snow Bubble Bar.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as I thought that it’s blend of Sicilian Lemon Oil, Osmanthus Absolute, and Petitgrain Oil all blended together to create a gorgeous fruity floral Plum scent that kind of reminded me of when you walk past the Plums in the Fruit and Veg section of the Supermarket. I also really liked that it shared it’s scent with the Plum Rain Shower Gel, which happens to be one of my favourite Shower Gels.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as after I had crumbled some under some running water and had let my bath fill all the way to the top, it eventually turned my bath water a beautiful sparkling deep Purple colour, and created so many bubbles that it looked like I was bathing in a bath of Purple clouds.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as even though this was just a Bubble Bar, it left my skin feeling gorgeously silky soft and intensely moisturised without leaving my skin feeling greasy. I also really liked that it’s delicious fruity floral Plum scent lasted on my skin for a good couple of hours after I had gotten out of the bath too.

A golden orange pear shaped soap with a dark brown stem and a cut In the middle of it that's filled with some bright white Cocoa Butter, on a white background.

The Golden Pear Soap.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as I thought that it’s blend of Pear Puree, Cardamom Oil, Sicilian Orange Oil and Sandalwood Oil all blended together to create a delicious fruity Pear scent that kind of reminded me of a Pear Pudding just out of the oven.

What it did when I used it.

I absolutely loved what this did when I used it, as once I had run it under the tap and had started to massage it into my hands, it instantly created a gloriously thick lather that felt more like an high end Shower Cream than a block of Soap.

One thing that I didn’t like about it though, was that because it contained so many different types of Butter, it unfortunately got used up a lot quicker than most other Soaps that i’ve used.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as it intensely moisturised my hands and left them feeling better than they’ve felt in ages. I also loved that it’s scent lasted on my hands for at least an hour after I had washed them.

The Santa’s Christmas Shower Cream.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as I thought that it’s blend of Cinnamon, Black Pepper Oil, fresh Orange Juice, Aniseed Oil, and Coffee all blended together to create a delicious fizzy scent that kind of reminded me of the scent that you get whenever you first open a can of Cola.

It’s consistency.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s consistency when I first used it, as with it being a Shower Cream, it meant that it was a lot thicker than a Shower Gel, and was extremely hard to get out of it’s bottle. But after I had used it for a couple of times, I found that it eventually became a little easier to get out of it’s bottle, whilst still retaining it’s extremely thick consistency.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had massaged it into my skin, it turned from an extremely thick Shower Cream to a light and frothy Shower Milk that created tons of gorgeous thick bouncy bubbles all over my skin.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my skin feeling incredibly soft and moisturised, but it also left it feeling so nice that I didn’t even have to use any kind of a body moisturiser afterwards. I also really liked that it’s delicious fizzy cola scent lasted on my skin for a good couple of hours after I had used it too.

The Once Upon A Time Body Lotion.

It’s scent.

I was actually a little disappointed with it’s scent, as even though it’s blend of Apple, Lemon Oil and Grapefruit Oil all blended together to create a gorgeous musky Apple scent that kind of reminded me of when you smell an Apple in a Fruit bowl, I was expecting it to smell more like their So White Shower Gel, which happens to be one of my favourite ever Shower Gels.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was a body lotion, it had an extremely light weight almost air whipped consistency to it that was really easy to spread across my skin.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had applied some to my skin, it set within a matter of seconds to a dewy semi-matte finish, that eventually set to leave my skin feeling extremely hydrated.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my skin looking and feeling incredibly moisturised, but it’s delicious fruity Apple scent also lasted on my skin for at least three or four hours after I had used it.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Christmas Sweater Bath Bomb a nine out of ten, the Plum Snow Bubble Bar a nine point five out of ten, the Golden Pear Soap a nine point five out of ten, the Santa’s Christmas Shower Cream an eight out of ten, and the Once Upon A Time Body Lotion a seven point five out of ten. I absolutely loved everything that I tried from the Lush Christmas 2017 range, and i’ll definitely be picking up  a few more things from the range, including the Christmas Sweater Bath Bomb, the Plum Snow Bubble Bar, and the Golden Pear Soap, but I was really disappointed with the consistency of the Santa’s Christmas Shower Gel, and the scent of the Once Upon A Time Body Lotion, as I was really expecting it to smell much more like their So White Shower Gel.
