Purple Rain, Purple Rain | Lush Plum Rain Shower Gel & Plum Rain Body Spray

I definitely think that the Lush Plum Snow Bubble Bar had to be my favourite product from the Lush Christmas 2017 range. That’s why when I had heard that they had released a Plum Rain Shower Gel and a Plum Rain Body Spray, I obviously had to check them out. Well i’ve been using them for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about both amazing smelling products.

The Lush Plum Rain Shower Gel.

Downpours of Umeboshi Infusion and fresh Plum Juice are expected with spells of Sicilian Mandarin Oil to brighten the Skin and refresh the mind. Carrageenan Seaweed extract softens Skin so you step out from the rich, succulent cleanses with a Sunny disposition.

The Lush Plum Rain Body Spray.

A downfall of bewitching Osmanthus and succulent Sicilian Mandarin quenches your taste for forbidden Fruits. Come down to Goblin Market where ripe, dripping Mandarin and bitter Orange Petitgrain cast a rich and entrancing Perfume over the wearer.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Umeboshi Absolute, Plum Juice, Osmanthus Absolute, Petitgrain Oil, and Sicilian Mandarin Oil, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and sour fruity yet slightly grassy scent to it that kind of reminded me of freshly picked just ripened Plums.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Gel, I thought that it felt extremely thick and balmy, and was more like a thick and creamy Shower Cream rather than a thin and runny Shower Gel.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from a thick and balmy Shower Cream into a thin and watery Shower Gel that was really easy to spread across my Skin.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly soft and moisturised, but it also left it smelling of fresh and sour fruity yet slightly grassy Plum for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a massive cylindrical plastic bottle with a clickable lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty shelves.

A tall black plastic kitchen spray bottle that has Plum Rain Body Spray written in bold white writing on it, on a white background.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Osmanthus Absolute, Petitgrain Oil, and Sicilian Mandarin Oil, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and sour fruity yet slightly grassy scent to it that kind of reminded me of freshly picked just ripened Plums.

It’s longevity.

I absolutely loved how long this lasted on my Skin, as when I had sprayed some on my Body at about eight o’clock in the morning, I could still strongly smell it on my Skin when I rolled into Bed at about Midnight. I also really liked that it lingered in the Air of the room that I had sprayed it in for a good couple of hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as even though it came in a massive bottle with a lockable spray lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty shelves, I thought that it felt a little bit on the cheap side.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Plum Rain Shower Gel a ten out of ten, and the Lush Plum Rain Body Spray a nine out of ten. I really liked the Lush Plum Rain Shower Gel, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and sour fruity yet slightly grassy Plum scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, and other than it being available in a bigger bottle, I think that it may have to be one of my top ten favourite ever Lush products. I really liked the Lush Plum Rain Body Spray, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and sour fruity yet slightly grassy scent, how long it lasted on my Skin, and it’s packaging, but I did think that it’s packaging felt incredibly cheap.
