Spring Is In The Air | The Body Shop Spring 2019 Releases

When I popped into The Body Shop whilst I was out shopping a couple of weeks ago, I noticed that they had released quite a lot of new products, including their first ever Sheet Mask, a Pink Grapefruit Body Yoghurt, a Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Clay Wash, and an entirely revamped Shea Butter range. Well after checking everything out, I eventually picked up the Drops of Youth™ Youth Concentrate Sheet Mask, a tub of the Pink Grapefruit Body Yoghurt, and a tub of the Shea Butter Richly Replenishing Hair Mask , and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Beach Bud Extract, Salicylic Acid, Samphire Extract, Babasu Seed Oil, Blue Mallow Flower Extract, Benzoic Acid, Sorbic Acid, Sea Holly Extract, and Edelweiss Extract, I thought that it had a very strange floral and medicinal scent to it that kind of reminded me of if they had blended Baby Powder with an entire Bottle of Cough Syrup.

It’s size.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s size, as I had to bunch it up quite a lot around my Eyes and also had to stretch it a little bit around my Cheeks. I also thought that the Mouth Hole could have done with being a little bit bigger too, as it only managed to go half way over my Mouth.

It’s material.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s material, as even though it was made out of an incredibly thick but soft Bio-Degradable Tissue, I found that it had ripped quite a lot around the Chin Area once I had eventually unfolded it from it’s packaging.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had removed it from it’s packaging and had smoothed it across my Face, it started to release quite a lot of thin and watery Serum that eventually set and stuck the Sheet to my Skin so that I could move around and not worry that it was going to fall off or that the Serum would leak everywhere.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, fresh, plump and bouncy, but it also left it looking extremely glowing and radiant for a good couple of hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall rectangular secure Plastic Pouch that not only kept it really fresh but also meant that it didn’t leak anywhere.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Shea Butter, Grapefruit Water, and Sweet Almond Seed Extract, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty Grapefruit scent to it that kind of reminded me of freshly squeezed Grapefruit Juice.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Yoghurt, I thought that it felt really thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like a thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly watery Body Gel rather than a thin and creamy Body Yoghurt.

what it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from a thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly watery Body Gel into a thin and creamy Body Yoghurt that set within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth and intensely moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and zesty Grapefruit for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a massive rounded square Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Olive Fruit Oil, and Cocoa Butter, I thought that it had an incredibly sweet and ever so slightly musky masculine scent to it that kind of reminded me of if they had blended Coconut Oil with a very cheap Men’s Deodorant.

It’s consistency.<//H2>

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Hair Mask, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy, and was more like a thick and creamy Body Cream rather than a thick and gloopy Hair Mask.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Hair, it turned from a thick and creamy Body Cream into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Hair Mask that spread really easily through my Hair.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Hair feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, nourished and stronger, but it also left it looking extremely frizz free and healthier too.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a massive cylindrical Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate The Body Shop Drops of Youth™ Youth Concentrate Sheet Mask an eight out of ten, The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Yoghurt a nine out of ten, and The Body Shop Shea Butter Richly Replenishing Hair Mask a seven point five out of ten. I really liked The Body Shop Drops of Youth™ Youth Concentrate Sheet Mask, as I absolutely loved what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s strange floral and medicinal scent, it’s size, or it’s material. I really liked The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Yoghurt, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty Grapefruit scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it came in a much bigger Tub. I really liked The Body Shop Shea Butter Richly Replenishing Hair Mask, as I absolutely loved it’s thick and creamy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s strange sweet and ever so slightly musky masculine scent.

  1. I went to the Body Shop last weekend and got some of the new shea products, but I missed the sheet mask and the grapefruit body yoghurt. Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to go back and pick up some new things to try! Thanks for sharing
