Five Things I Would Like To Add To My Smart Home Setup

I absolutely love using Smart Tech around my Home, as not only does it help me in my day to day life, i’m also inherently lazy and love being able to control the things around my Home with my Voice. The only trouble is that having a Smart Home can be incredibly expensive, but if money was no object there’s quite a few things that I would like to add to my Smart Home Setup, and I thought that I would tell you five of them.

Anyway, that’s enough of me rambling, here’s five things I would like to add to my Smart Home Setup.

A tall cylindrical Black Plastic Speaker that has Amazon written in bold Silver writing on it, on a white background.

1. A Ring Video Doorbell 3 & Chime Pro 2nd Gen..
I’ve always thought that these looked and sounded really cool, especially as you can answer the Door directly from your Phone. But I mainly want one of these as it would mean that I wouldn’t keep missing anyone who comes to the Door because it’s built in Full HD Camera and Speakers means that I can talk directly to whoever’s at the Door, and wouldn’t have to come all the way downstairs whenever one of my Dogs starts randomly barking at someone walking past the Window. I also really like that it comes with a Chime Adapter, as I live in a very odd shaped House and it’s not always possible to hear the Doorbell Ring when i’m upstairs or in the Garden.

2. A WeeKett WiFi Smart Kettle.

I drink an extraordinary amount of Tea throughout the day so having one of these would be awesome. I really like that you can schedule it to boil at a specific time like right when you get up, and that you can choose what temperature you need it to boil to as I drink a lot of different kinds of Tea, including Black Tea, Fruit Infusions and Green Tea, and it’s not always easy to get the correct brewing temperature for the perfect Cup of Tea.

3. A Yale L1 Conexis Smart Door Lock.

I mainly want one of these as I think that it would be really fun to be able to unlock my Door with my Phone instead of carrying around a very bulky bunch of Keys. I also really like that it notifies you whenever someone else uses it so that you know when everyone has arrived Home, that you can give your Family and Friends special one time Key Codes instead of giving them your Keys, and that it has an inbuilt Security Alarm to protect you against intruders.

4. A Hive Active Heating & Hot Water Thermostat.

My Heating System is actually pretty inaccessible, so I mostly want one of these so that I can use it by myself without having to ask someone else to do it for me. I really like that it can be totally controlled by either your Phone, Alexa or the Google Assistant, that it will alert you if you’ve left the Heating on whilst you’re out and about, that you can schedule the Heating to turn itself on before you get Home, and that it also has a Hot Water function so that you can have the perfect temperature for a Bath or Shower when you come Home at the end of a long day.

5. A JVC Fire TV Edition 40in Smart Full HD LED TV with Amazon Alexa

I already have a Samsung Smart TV as I bought one the very first year that they added VoiceView to their range of TV’s, but it’s getting pretty old now as the VoiceView feature has started to become very sluggish. I really like that it has Alexa built in so that I can control it with my Voice, that it has a Screen Reader built in so that it will read what’s on the screen to me, that it has Freeview Play built in so that I can catch up on anything that i’ve missed in the past seven days, and that I can access apps like All Four, BBC iPlayer, Demand 5, ITV Hub, Netflix, NOW TV, Prime Video, UKTV and YouTube to watch all of my favourite Films & TV Shows..

There’s a lot more things that I would like to add to my Smart Home Setup, but I just thought that I would tell you five of them.

Is there anything that you would like to add to your Smart Home Setup? What’s your favourite Smart Home Assistant, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri? Were you an early adopter of Smart Home Tech too? Please let me know down below.
