Ever since I first started using a Red Cane instead of the traditional White one, people have always asked me questions about it, and after getting asked quite a lot of the same questions lately, I thought that I would tell you the five things that people always ask me about my Red Cane.
Anyway, that’s enough of me rambling, here’s five things people always ask me about my Red Cane.

A picture of me holding my Red Cane.
1. Why do you use a Red Cane instead of a White one?
I use a Red Cane instead of the traditional White one as i’ve always thought that the traditional White Cane looks very clinical and using a Red Cane allows me to show off a little bit of my personality. If you hadn’t already guessed, Red is my favourite colour, hence me usually wearing a pair of Red Shoes to match my Red Cane.
2. Where did you get your Red Cane from?
I got my Red Cane from the RNIB but it’s actually an Ambutech branded Cane that was made in Canada and took about six weeks to finally arrive.
3. What other colours can you get a White Cane in?
You can actually get Canes in Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple, Yellow, and even Red Stripes. You can also choose to have three different colours by having the Handle and various different parts of your Cane a totally different colour.
4. How many Tips do you go through a year?
It depends on how active i’ve been, but one Roller Tip, the Cane Tip that I use, usually lasts me between six and seven months. Luckily they’re fairly cheap, but I do wish that they lasted a little bit longer.
5. What is the Keyring on the end of your Cane for and why is it there?
It’s called a Tile Mate Tracker, and it’s there because someone once tried to steal my Cane whilst I was sat having something to eat when I was out Shopping with Jamie. It’s also great as I can track it from my Phone, and also get it to emit a noise if I ever lose it around my House.
There you go, that’s five things that people always ask me about my Red Cane.
Do you own a Coloured Cane? What colour is it? What’s some of the questions that people always ask you about your Coloured Cane? Please let me know down below.

I get asked about the ball and what it does
I love that you wanted a cane that showed off your personality! Would you consider other colours too? Dare I say, even color coordinated with your outfit for that day? 🙂
Also, I am so sorry that someone tried to steal your cane once. Shame on them!
Of course. I do already kind of colour coordinate it with my outfit though as I usually wear a pair of shiny red shoes.
