I absolutely love discovering new and interesting Male Grooming Brands, especially ones that claim to leave you with silky soft, hydrated and refreshed Skin. That’s why when the guys over at King of Shaves very kindly asked me if I would like to try some of their Shaving and Skincare range that claims to leave you with silky soft, hydrated and refreshed Skin, I of course said yes. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.
Here’s what King of Shaves say about all four amazing products.
The King of Shaves Refillable Sensitive Shave Gel.
Banish Razor Rash and irritation.
Enjoy your Shave with our Aloe Vera packed Refillable Sensitive Shave Gel. Low Foam to see where you are shaving with a protective lubricating layer between Blades and Skin for closeness and comfort. Vegan and Vegetarian friendly.
The lifetime use Shave Gel Bottle is made of endlessly recyclable Aluminium, ideally please purchase a Refill Pouch and reuse the Bottle.
However you can easily recycle the Bottle with your local kerbside recycling collection. Plastic, if and when it is recycled, the quality is downgraded which means it becomes less useful over time. Although initially expensive, Aluminium can be endlessly recycled making it, in our opinion, a much better material to use for packaging.
How to use.
Pump some of the Shave Gel into your Palms and massage vigorously into your wet Stubble for thirty to sixty seconds to ensure thorough and even coverage, then shave as normal.
To maximise closeness, comfort and enjoyment, we recommend.
- First Wash your Face in plenty of Warm Water ensuring that your Bristles are thoroughly soaked. Try shaving in the Shower.
- Spend sixty seconds massaging your chosen Shave Prep thoroughly into your Beard.
- Using a clean, sharp Blade, shave carefully with short strokes in the direction of your Hair’s growth. Rinse your Razor regularly.
- Afterwards, thoroughly rinse your Skin with clean Water then pat your Face dry with a clean Towel.
- Using a Moisturiser or a Balm after shaving helps to soothe and protect your Skin.

The King of Shaves Refillable Sensitive Shave Gel.
It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Eucalyptus Leaf Oil, Tea Tree Leaf Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Chloride, Benzophenone-4, Ethylhexylglycerin, Spearmint Leaf Oil, Limonene, Camphor Bark Oil, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid, CI 60730, and CI 42090, I thought that it had a delicious deep and medicinal yet ever so slightly zesty Tea Tree scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Bottle of Tea Tree Oil.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Sensitive Shave Gel, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Gel Face Wash rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Sensitive Shave Gel.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Beard, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Shave Gel into a thin and balmy yet ever so slightly frothy Shave Gel that spread really easily through my Beard.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also allowed me to have one of the closest and most comfortable shaves that i’ve ever had without me nicking myself.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Aluminium Bottle with a Plastic Pump Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Sensitive Shave Oil, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly oily Facial Serum rather than a thick and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Sensitive Shave Oil.
