I’m not usually a massive fan of anything that smells of Rose, as for me it either smells incredibly sweet and sickly or extremely deep and fruity, there’s really no in between. Strangely though, when I was at a Bloggers Event a couple of years ago, I managed to try some of The Body Shop’s British Rose range and instantly fell in love with it’s delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly watery Rose scent. That’s why when I saw that they had released a British Rose Eau De Toilette whilst I was scrolling through their Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been wearing it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what The Body Shop say about their British Rose Eau De Toilette.
Britain’s favourite Flower comes into full bloom for this charmingly light Rose Eau De Toilette. Sure to become a favourite in your Fragrance Collection, this sparkling scent contains the essence of hand-picked British Roses and Organic Alcohol.
- A fresh, dewy Rose fragrance.
- With the essence of hand-picked British Roses.
- Contains Organic Alcohol.
- Can be used with other products in the British Rose range to layer the scent.
It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Alcohol Denat, Water, Fragrance, Benzyl Salicylate, Limonene, Citronellol, Geraniol, Linalool, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, T-Butyl Alcohol, Rose Extract, Citral, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Alcohol, Isoeugenol, Denatonium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, and Potassium Sorbate, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly watery Rose scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured a massive Glass of Filtered Water over a Bouquet of just picked Roses.
It’s longevity.
I really liked how long this lasted on my Skin, as I sprayed a little bit of it on to my Wrists and Neck when I was getting ready at about eight o’clock in the morning, and I could still strongly smell it on my Skin when I rolled into Bed at about Midnight.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Glass Perfume Bottle with a Metallic Silver Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves. I also really liked that it’s Lid clicked into place after I had used it, as it meant that I knew that I had closed it properly and that it wouldn’t leak anywhere.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate The The Body Shop British Rose Eau De Toilette a nine point five out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly watery Rose scent, it’s longevity, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a smaller Bottle so that I could carry it around with me and top up my Fragrance on the go.
