Having A Nice Smooch In Yorkshire | The Yorkshire Soap Company Lip Balm Range

With all of the ever-changing Weather that we’ve been having lately my Lips have become really dry, chapped and rough, which means that i’ve been on the lookout for anything that will return them to their incredibly silky soft, supple and hydrated feeling former self. That’s why when I saw that The Yorkshire Soap Company had released a Lip Balm range that includes Blackcurrant & Run, Gin & Tonic, Grapefruit & Sea Salt, Rose & Jasmine, and Vanilla & Hibiscus whilst I was out Shopping a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pop in and check everything out. Well after checking everything out, I eventually picked up a Tin of Grapefruit & Sea Salt Lip Balm, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

It’s taste.

I absolutely loved it’s taste, as even though it contained Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cocoa Butter, Cetearyl Alcohol, Flavor, Lemon Peel Oil, Limonene, and Pinene, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly salty Grapefruit and Sea Salt taste to it that kind of reminded me of drinking a Margarita with a Grapefruit and Salt rim on a boiling hot Summer’s Day.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Lip Balm, I thought that it felt incredibly hard and waxy yet ever so slightly oily, and was more like an incredibly hard and waxy yet ever so slightly oily Skin Repair Balm rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Lip Balm.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had scooped some of it out of it’s Tin and had started to swipe it across my Lips, it turned from an incredibly hard and waxy yet ever so slightly oily Skin Repair Balm into a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Lip Butter that sank into my Skin within a matter of minutes.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Lips feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left them looking much healthier and tasting of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly salty Grapefruit and Sea Salt for at least ten minutes after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Metal Tin with a screw top Lid that fitted really easily into my Pocket.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate The Yorkshire Soap Company Grapefruit & Sea Salt Lip Balm a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly salty Grapefruit and Sea Salt taste, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in even more flavours, like Cola, Lemon, or maybe even Passion Fruit.
