Polly Put The Kettle On | Lush Mother’s Day 2019 Range

As you probably already know, I absolutely love it whenever Lush releases anything new. That’s why when I had heard that they had released their Mother’s Day 2019 range, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up the Lemon Butterfly Bath Bomb, the Marigold Flower Bath Bomb, and the More Tea And Sympathy Bath Bomb, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about all three delicious smelling products.

The Lemon Butterfly Bath Bomb.

Gloomy days will be a zing of the past with this uplifting treat, comprised of Citrus Oils to boost your mood and gently refresh your Skin. Zesty Sicilian Lemon and sweet Wild Orange combine to make you feel all aflutter, as you soak in a shimmery green Bath that leaves your Skin fragrant and soft. Spruce up your soak with this sweet and summery treat!

The Marigold Flower Bath Bomb.

Soak in fresh and uplifting scents as soothing Marigold, rich, mood-boosting Buchu and zesty Grapefruit Oil swirl around you like a marigold-round. You can tell your loved one how you feel by removing the scroll, writing your message and replacing before presenting them with this fruity Bath Bomb. Give the gift of happy thoughts with this beautiful Bath Bomb that will fizz and foam, creating a floral spectacle in the Tub.

The More Tea And Sympathy Bath Bomb.

A soothing, cleansing soak is anyone’s Cup of Tea. Lie back and steep to your Heart’s content, as an Earl Grey Tea Bag emerges from the bright Pink fizzing Teapot that releases a feel-good Bergamot and Neroli fragrance and a handful of Blue Cornflowers. With Green Tea to clarify and cleanse the Skin, there’s plenty of reasons to treat yourself or a loved one to a much-deserved cuppa.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Sicilian Lemon Oil and Sweet Wild Orange Oil, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and zesty Orange scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you get whenever you open a Bottle of Fanta.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of vibrant Yellow and Green all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended together to turn my entire Bath a gorgeous shimmering Green colour.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft and moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and zesty Oranges for hours after I had used it.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Bergamot Oil, Buchu Oil, Grapefruit Oil, and Marigold Powder, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Citrus scent to it that kind of reminded me of Lemon Sherbert.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a minute or so before releasing streams of vibrant Yellow and Red all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended together to turn my entire Bath a vibrant shimmering Orange colour. I also really liked that as it was fizzing, that it also released a little piece of Paper that had a message on it into the Water.

It’s results.

I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft and moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Lemon that lasted for hours after I had used it.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Bergamot Oil, Green Tea Absolute, Neroli Oil, and Blue Cornflowers, I thought that it had a delicious deep and earthy yet ever so slightly floral Green Tea scent to it that kind of reminded me of a giant Mug of Green Tea.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of vibrant Pink and creamy White all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended together to turn my entire Bath a gorgeous milky Pink colour. I also really liked that as it was fizzing, that it released little shards of Blue Cornflowers all over the surface of the Water and that after a couple of minutes it also released an Earl Grey Teabag into the Water that made it looked like I was bathing in a giant Cup of Tea.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth and moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious deep and earthy yet ever so slightly floral Green Tea for hours after I had used it.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Lemon Butterfly Bath Bomb an eight out of ten, the Lush Marigold Flower Bath Bomb an eight point five out of ten, and the Lush More Tea And Sympathy Bath Bomb a nine out of ten. I really liked the Lush Lemon Butterfly Bath Bomb, as I absolutely loved it’s fresh and zesty Orange scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I did think that it’s scent was a little bit simplistic. I really liked the Lush Marigold Flower Bath Bomb, as I absolutely loved it’s fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly floral scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I did find the fact that it released a piece of Paper into the Water a little bit strange. I really liked the Lush More Tea And Sympathy Bath Bomb, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and earthy yet ever so slightly floral scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I wasn’t really a massive fan of that the little pieces of Blue Cornflower stuck to my Bathtub.
