Defending My Skin Against Pollution | Nivea Urban Skin Defence Range

With me living next to an extremely busy Road with Cars zooming up and down it all hours of the day and night, i’m obviously very concerned about how the pollution and exhaust fumes effect my Skin. That’s why when I had heard that Nivea had released a range of products that are all supposed to help protect your Skin from external influences and pollution, I obviously had to give some of them a go. Well after browsing their website for a good half an hour, I eventually picked up a tub of the Nivea Urban Skin Defence Day Cream with SPF 20, a tub of the Nivea Urban Skin Defence Night Cream, and a tube of the Nivea Urban Skin Defence 1 Minute Detox Moisture Mask, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Nivea say about all three amazing pollution fighting products.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Hyaluronic Acid, Green Tea, and Camellia Oil, I thought that it had an extremely strong soapy floral scent to it that kind of reminded me of Fairy Washing Up Liquid.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Day Cream, I thought that it felt really light and watery, and was more like a thin and balmy Facial Serum rather than a thick and heavy Day Cream.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from a thin and balmy Facial Serum into a thin and watery Day Cream that set within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling intensively moisturised, silky soft and bouncy, but it also left it looking extremely smooth, radiant and ever so slightly matte.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a really substantial cylindrical plastic tub with a cushioned lid that I thought felt really high quality as well as looking beautiful sat on my Beauty shelves.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Face Mask, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy, and was more like a thick and heavy Day Cream rather than a thin and balmy Face Mask.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from a thick and heavy Day Cream into a thin and watery Facial Serum that set within a matter of seconds.

It said that you were supposed to apply it generously to cleansed Skin, leave it on for at least one minute, and then massage any remaining product gently into your Skin or remove with a cotton pad, but I found that it was better to leave it until it had entirely set to get the best results.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling intensively moisturised, silky soft and bouncy, but it also left it looking as if I had just gotten a Facial at a really expensive Spa.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging ,as this came in a really substantial thin plastic tube that looked beautiful sat on my beauty shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Nivea Urban Skin Defence Day Cream with SPF 20 an eight point five out of ten, the Nivea Urban Skin Defence Night Cream an eight point five out of ten, and the Nivea Urban Skin Defence 1 Minute Detox Moisture Mask a nine out of ten. I really liked the Nivea Urban Skin Defence Day Cream with SPF 20, as I loved it’s thin and balmy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I did think that it’s scent was a little bit overpowering for a Day Cream. I really liked the Nivea Urban Skin Defence Night Cream, as I loved it’s thin and balmy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I again thought that it’s scent was a little bit overpowering for a Night Cream. I also really liked the Nivea Urban Skin Defence 1 Minute Detox Moisture Mask, as I loved it’s thick and heavy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but like the rest of the range, I thought that it’s scent was a little bit overpowering for a Face Mask.
