Empties #8 | October 2019 to February 2020

I was doing a little bit of cleaning the other day and came across the Bag that I keep all of my empty products in, and after a good ten minutes of me wondering why I had a random Bag of rubbish hidden behind my Chest of Drawers, I thought that I would show you everything that’s in it and tell you whether or not I would repurchase it again.

Anyway, that’s enough of me rambling, here’s what i’ve used up lately and whether or not I would repurchase it again.

A light Green rectangular hessian tote Bag full of some different shaped plastic bottles and some glass jars, on a white background.

Hair.

What I would repurchase.

  • Korres Aloe & Dittany Shampoo. This was a very light and creamy Shampoo that was perfect for whenever my Scalp felt really irritated or I didn’t want to use anything too heavy.

Beard.

What I would repurchase.

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

Face.

What I would repurchase.

  • Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask. This was a fantastic resurfacing Face Mask with little pieces of grit in it that left my Skin feeling and looking amazing, but it was just far too expensive for a Face Mask.
  • Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask. This was a fantastic repairing  Face Mask that instantly calmed my Skin down whenever it was feeling angry, but it was just too expensive for a Face Mask.
  • Pixi Glow Tonic. I will always repurchase a Bottle of this, as it leaves my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth and looking glowing, but i’m currently trying some other Acid Toners at the moment.
  • The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane. This was a great thin and light Facial Oil that was perfect for when I didn’t want to use anything too heavy, but it is a little bit difficult to get hold of.
  • The Ordinary Retinol 0.2% in Squalane. This was great at minimising some of the Fine Lines that are around my Eyes and Forehead, but i’m currently using a stronger version with a higher percentage of Retinol in it at the moment.
  • The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser. This was a fantastic thick and oily Cleanser that turned to a thin Cleansing Milk when I added Water to it, but i’m currently trying some other Cleansers at the moment.

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • Admiral Grooming Detoxifying Facial Scrub with Cucumber Extract. This was an ok Facial Scrub that got rid of dirt and Dead Skin brilliantly, but it’s Pump Lid unfortunately broke on me after a couple of uses.
  • L’Oreal Paris Pure Clay Purity Mask. This was a fantastic purifying Clay Face Mask that left my Skin feeling squeaky clean, silky soft and looking blemish free, but it had a very strange soapy scent to it that I just couldn’t get on board with.
    • Nivea Urban Skin Defence Night Cream, This was a great Night Cream that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, intensely moisturised and looking much healthier, but i’m currently using another Night Cream that I like more..
    • Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Mask . This was a great radiance enhancing Face Mask that left my Skin feeling really soft and looking glowing, but it’s just far too expensive for a Face Mask even though it apparently contains actual pieces of 24 Karat Gold.

Body.

What I would repurchase.

  • Lotil Cream Original Cream. This was an amazing Body Cream that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, bouncy and intensely moisturised. It also didn’t have too much of a scent to it so was perfect to layer with whatever Fragrance I was wearing.

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • Malee Verdure Moisturising Oil. This was a great moisturising Body Oil that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft and hydrated, but it was just a little bit too expensive for a Body Oil.
  • The Body Shop Blueberry Body Butter. This was a great thick and creamy Body Butter that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft and hydrated, but calling it Blueberry was a very big stretch.
  • The Body Shop Frosted Plum Body Lotion. This was a great moisturising Body Lotion with a delicious deep and fruity scent, but as I bought so much of the range it’s scent unfortunately started to get on my nerves a little.

Fragrance.

  • The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Mist.

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Mist. This was a great smelling Body Mist with a delicious sweet and fruity scent that lasted on my Skin for hours, but it’s unfortunately been discontinued.

Feet.

What I would repurchase.

  • Dr Anders Intensive Rescue Balm. This was an amazing thick and creamy Foot Cream that left my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft and moisturised, but it is a little bit difficult to get hold of.

Aromatherapy.

.

What I would repurchase.

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • Kiuno Aromatherapy Bergamot Oil. This was a fantastic smelling Aromatherapy Oil, but I’ve found something else that I like more.
  • Kiuno Aromatherapy Mint Oil. This was a fantastic smelling Aromatherapy Oil, but i’ve found something else that I like more.
  • Kiuno Aromatherapy Sweet Orange Oil. This was a fantastic smelling Aromatherapy Oil, but i’ve found something else that I like more.

Candles and Wax Melts.

What I would repurchase.

  • WoodWick Candles Radish & Rhubarb Petite Candle. This was a great Candle that had a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly grassy scent to it and also crackled while it burnt, but I did think that it was a little bit on the expensive side for such a small Candle..

What I wouldn’t repurchase.

  • WoodWick Candles Black Plum Cognac Mini Wax Melt. This was a great long lasting Wax Melt, but even though I really liked it at first, I found that it’s incredibly sweet and floral yet ever so slightly fruity scent got on my nerves after a while.

There you go, that’s everything that i’ve used up lately.

I was very kindly sent a few things in this post, but all thoughts, opinions, and general ramblings are my own.
