Transported To The Tropics | The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Review

Hi all my wonderful readers. I hope you’re all having a brilliant day.

As you may have seen, I went to an event all about the new The Body Shop Virgin Mojito range. Well after using it for quite a while, I thought it was about time I told you what I think of it.

The range contains.

The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Shower Gel.

The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Butter.

The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Sorbet.

The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Scrub.

The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Splash.

As with all new ranges from The Body Shop, there is three totally different gift sets. As well as containing products from the new range, they also contain some pretty cool Mojito accessories including a cooling bag, a cocktail shaker, and an ice bucket.

The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Party Collection The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Happy Hour Collection

The scent is absolutely to die for. For those who have never smelled a mojito, it’s a mix of rum, freshly squeezed limes, and fresh sprigs of mint. Now being virgin, that means there is unfortunately no rum. The range all smells incredible, but there is a difference in intensity depending on which product you are using. uh! I could just sit and sniff the range all day it’s that nice!

The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Shower Gel
The shower gel is actually quite unique in texture. It has that normal gelly like texture, but with something else in there. Once you apply it to your skin it turns into an extremely runny milk. The scent of the shower gel is more on the lime side rather than the mint. It is the perfect thing to use in the mornings when you just can’t seem to wake up.
The Body Butter is incredibly thick. It’s so thick that once you have used it, it resets again. It’s incredibly good for your skin. it is a body butter so it does take a little while to set into your skin. The Body Butter is probably the only one of the range that doesn’t lean more to either the lime or the mint side. It smells exactly like what you think a Mojito would smell like.

The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Sorbet

The Body Sorbet has to be my favourite of the entire range. A Body Sorbet is quite like a Body Butter except it’s much much lighter. It sets in seconds which is perfect for me as I have been known to leave a trail of Body Butter where ever I go. The Body Sorbet is extremely limey but it has just the right amount of mint that the lime doesn’t overpower it.

The Body Scrub is fantastic. It has little tiny beads in there to give your skin a good scrubbing. It scrubs you but it isn’t too harsh. It also has aloe vera in there, so if it does get a little too harsh it has something in there to calm down the irritation. The scent is incredible. It has more of a minty scent to it, which balances out all the lime of the other products in the range.

The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Body Splash

The Body Splash is the only product in the range I am unsure about. I’m not sure what it’s main purpose is. Is it a fragrance? is it just meant to refresh your skin? I have no idea. I do love it. It has just the right Mojito scent, it’s not too lime and not too minty. The only thing I don’t really like is I can smell the alcohol in it. I know the alcohol is used to make it stay on your skin, but I don’t want to stink of alcohol.

Overall, I love the new Virgin Mojito range from The Body Shop.

Out of ten, I would have to rate the entire range an eight point five out of ten. Everything smells incredible, but I think the alcohol in the splash needs toning down, and all the products shouldn’t change in scent intensity. Other than that, I am in love with the range. The only thing that irritates me is that it’s only a limited edition.

If you would like to check out the new Virgin Mojito range from The Body Shop, then I suggest you get your skates on as it will be gone as soon as you know it. If you would like to purchase any of the new range, you can either buy it in one of their many stores, or you can buy it online here.
