Whenever I have a Migraine, I unfortunately can’t control my Temperature, and am usually either absolutely freezing or feel like i’m on Fire. That’s why when I had heard that The Body Shop had added Body Care to their ever growing Peppermint Invigorating range that claims to help you instantly cool yourself down, I obviously had to pop down to my local The Body Shop store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Bottle of Peppermint Invigorating Shower Gel, and a Tube of Peppermint Invigorating Body Gel, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.
Here’s what The Body Shop say about both amazing products.

It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Decyl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Coco-Betaine, Fragrance, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Gluconate, Menthol, Peppermint Oil, Linalool, Limonene, Denatonium Benzoate, CI 42090/Blue 1, and CI 17200/Red 33, I thought that it had a very strange deep and minty yet ever so slightly alcoholic Peppermint scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured an entire Bottle of Paint Thinner over a massive Pile of Peppermint Leaves.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Gel, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Gel Body Lotion rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Shower Gel.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Body Gel into a thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly frothy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of very strange deep and minty yet ever so slightly alcoholic Peppermint for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked its packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Alcohol Denat., Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, Carbomer, Aminomethyl Propanol, Tocopherol, Peppermint Oil, Linalool, Limonene, and Sunflower Seed Oil, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly zesty Peppermint scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you make an entire Pitcher of Mojitos on a boiling hot Summer’s Day.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Shower Gel into a thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly Creamy Body Sorbet that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds. I also really liked that as I was massaging it into my Skin, that it created an ever so slight cooling sensation all over my Body that felt really refreshing when I felt like I was on Fire.

My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate The Body Shop Peppermint Invigorating Shower Gel a seven point five out of ten, and The Body Shop Peppermint Invigorating Body Gel an eight point five out of ten. I really liked The Body Shop Peppermint Invigorating Shower Gel, as I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and minty yet ever so slightly alcoholic Peppermint scent.
