Even though Autumn is probably one of my favourite times of the year, i’m not really a massive fan of Autumn Candles as they usually smell of either Cinnamon, Musk, Patchouli or Pumpkin Spice and I much prefer things that smell of Citrus and Fruit, like Apple, Lemon, Orange or Passion Fruit. That’s why when I saw that DW Home Candles had released an Apple Pie whilst I was wandering around Homesense a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been burning it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what DW Home Candles say about their Apple Pie.

Homemade Apple Pie with aromatic Cinnamon, Golden Nutmeg and creamy Vanilla Bean.

• Medium Single Wick.
• Burn time, approximately 33 hours.

Its scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Cinnamon, Golden Nutmeg, and Vanilla Bean, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly biscuity Apple Pie scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you take a freshly cooked Apple Pie out of the Oven. I could definitely smell the Cinnamon and Golden Nutmeg, as I thought that they were what gave it it’s delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly biscuity Apple Pie scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Vanilla Bean, as i thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered it a little.

Its scent throw.

I really liked it’s scent throw, as this managed to fill my room, the entire top floor of my House and even some of the downstairs with it’s delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly biscuity Apple Pi scent that lasted for hours even after I had blown it out.

It’s burn time.

It said that you were supposed to get up to 33 hours of burn time out of this, but as I always kept my Wick trimmed, I easily got at least 40 hours of delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly biscuity Apple Pie scent out of it.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the DW Home Candles Apple Pie an eight point five out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly biscuity Apple Pie scent, it’s scent throw, and it’s burn time, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Apple and was also a little bit easier to get hold of.
