I absolutely love that Lush are always trying to raise Money for some very worthwhile Charities, as it usually means that we get to see a product scented with one of their many Retro scents that we haven’t seen in quite a long time. That’s why when I had heard that Lush had released a Welcome Bath Bomb with all proceeds going to support Refugee Action and their efforts to help Refugees navigate the Asylum System in the UK, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and pick it up. Well I finally used it the other Night, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Welcome this softly fragranced Bath Bomb into your Tub, as the zesty scent of Lemongrass oil greets you and fills the air, before sunny bergamot oil shines through, followed closely by the comforting embrace of Lavender Oil adding a sweet finish. The Blue and Green halves gently fizz away, leaving behind verdantly Green Water that’ll leave your Skin softened and sweetly perfumed.
At Lush, we believe that all people should enjoy freedom of movement across the World. Wherever Refugees are from, and however they got here, all are welcome. That’s why Lush has partnered with Refugee Action, a long established independent Charity with an effective, outspoken voice who’ve supported Refugees and people seeking asylum since 1981.
All proceeds from the sale of the Welcome Bath Bomb, minus the VAT, will go directly to Refugee Action, allowing them to continue their work supporting people, providing expert advice and guidance to those struggling to navigate the asylum system in the UK. Refugee Action helps those with Refugee Status to settle into their new Homes and communities, everything from helping Children into Schools, to supporting booking Doctors appointments, and ensuring they get a hot meal when they arrive.
How to use.
Drop in the Water, and once fizzed, a Paper Insert will appear, inviting the Bather to scan a QR Code, and follow a Refugee’s journey from their Home Countries oof Burma, Ukraine, and The Caribbean as they try to find safety and asylum in the UK.
How to store.
Keep this Bath Bomb in a cool, dry place until ready to use.
Its scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Bergamot Oil, Lavender Oil, Lemongrass Oil, Cream Of Tartar, Water, Gardenia Extract, Sodium Coco Sulfate, Dipropylene Glycol, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Citral, Coumarin, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance, Colour 19140:1, and Colour 42090, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly floral Lemongrass scent to it that kind of reminded me of eating Cream Cakes and sipping a massive Glass of freshly made Lemonade on a boiling hot Summer’s Day.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of beautiful dark Blue all over the surface of the Water, and then after a couple more seconds it also released streams of gorgeous bright Green all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the beautiful dark Blue to turn my entire Bath a stunning Turquoise colour. I also really liked that once it had finally finished fizzing and hissing, that it released a little piece of Rice Paper that had a QR Code on it that you could scan to find out more about Refugee Action.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Lemongrass for hours after I had used it.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Lush Welcome Bath Bomb an eight point five out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Lemongrass scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I could have really done without the piece of Rice Paper in the middle of it as i’m not really a massive fan of things floating around in my Bath.
