Kooling Myself Down Is The Only Way To Soothe A Migraine | Kool ‘N’ Soothe Migraine Cooling Strips & Roller Ball

I don’t know if it’s because of my Eye condition, but i’ve always suffered with Migraines, and they’re not the type of Migraines where I can do anything, they’re the kind that leave me laid down in a darkened Room for hours on end. That’s why when I saw that Kool ‘n’ Soothe had released a range of Cooling Patches that claim to calm and soothe Migraines whilst I was scrolling through Instagram a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to hop on to their Website and check everything out. Well after checking everything out, I eventually picked up a Box of Migraine Cooling Strips and a Roller Ball, and I thought that I would tell you what i thought of them.

Here’s what Kool ’n’ Soothe say about both amazing products.

The Kool ’N’ Soothe Migraine Cooling Strips.

OurMigraine Cooling Strips are soft Gel Sheets designed to provide immediate cooling relief to the severe discomfort associated with Migraines and Headaches. Comforting and soothing, they provide a gentle continuous cooling effect for up to 8 hours helping you through your Migraine. Our Migraine Cooling Strips are non-medicinal so can be used with Pain Medication to help maximise your relief. For best results use at the first signs of a Migraine or Headache. Our Migraine Cooling Strips are safe to use during Pregnancy and can also be used during the hot Summer months to cool and refresh.

How do our Migraine Cooling Strips work?

The Gel Sheet contains a high percentage of Water which works with the Bodies natural cooling system helping to cool the Body down. As the temperature rises, the Heat of the Skin causes the evaporation of Water contained within the Gel Sheet. As a result it creates a cooling sensation on the surface of the Skin.
The Heat of the Skin causes the evaporation of Water contained within the Gel and as a result lowers the temperature of the Skin.
The excellent Heat transfer ability is made possible by the Gels unique structure which disperses Heat freely, and maintains a constant and steady cooling effect.

Their scent.

I absolutely loved their scent, as even though they contained Water, and Methyl Paragon, I thought that they had a delicious fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly metallic Water scent to them that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you pour yourself a Glass of Water from the Kitchen Tap.

What they did when I used them.

I really liked what these did when I used them, as once I had removed one of them from their Paper Wrapper, had peeled off it’s Adhesive Backing and had stuck it to my Skin, it instantly started to release a really nice cooling sensation that felt really soothing and instantly helped to calm my Migraine down. I also really liked that once I had placed it on to my Forehead or Neck, that it securely stuck itself to my Skin and didn’t move around, meaning that I could move around without worrying that it was going to fall off.

Their results.

I absolutely loved their results, as not only did these help to instantly calm my Migraine down, but they also helped to ease any Eye pain that I was having, cooled my temperature down and also allowed me to get on with anything that I had to do whilst I was wearing them.

Their packaging.

I really liked their packaging, as these came individually wrapped in a very secure Paper Wrapper inside a really thick Cardboard Box that I thought looked and felt really professional.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Alcohol, Menthol, PEG-8, Carbomer, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, BHT, Triethanolamine, and Denatonium Benzoate, I thought that it had a delicious deep and minty yet ever so slightly medicinal Peppermint scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had crushed up an massive Pile of Mint Leaves.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to swipe it across my Skin, it released lots of incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Facial Serum all over my Forehead that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds. I also really liked that as it was starting to set, that it created a really nice cooling sensation that instantly helped to calm my Migraine down.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this instantly calm my Migraine down, but it also helped to ease any Eye Pain that I was having and cooled my Temperature down for at least an hour after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short conical Plastic squeezy Tube with a Metal Roller Ball that fitted really easily into my Pocket.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Kool ‘n’ Soothe Migraine Cooling Strips an eight point five out of ten, and the Kool ‘m’ Soothe Roller Ball a nine out of ten. I really liked the Kool ‘n’ Soothe Migraine Cooling Strips, as I absolutely loved their delicious fresh and watery yet ever so slightly metallic Water scent, what they did when I used them, their results, and their packaging, but I just wish that they were available in some different sizes so that I didn’t have to cut them to size every time that I wanted to use one of them. I really liked the Kool ‘n’ Soothe Roller Ball, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and minty yet ever so slightly medicinal Peppermint scent, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a much bigger Tube.

  1. I find that the cold patches give me an extra ‘icecream headache’ – I’m more of a heat pack person – but super happy you found something that helps. Take care, Linda

  2. I’m so happy you found something that works. I remember something very similar to that product in the 90’s.

  3. Hi! Luke!

Thank you for sharing your experience with these migraine-relieving products. I personally have not tried these before. When I have a migraine I like to put a cool towel over my eyes and shut off the lights.
