When I was very kindly invited down to The Yorkshire Soap Company Harrogate to celebrate their launch back in 2018, I got chatting to the owners Marcus & Warren who told me that they would love to launch a Body Scrub one day as that’s the one thing that their customers told them was missing from their range of delicious smelling Body Care. That’s why when I saw that they had finally released a Mandarella Body Polish whilst I was out Shopping a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what The Yorkshire Soap Company say about their Mandarella Body Polish.
Our exfoliating Body Polish has been handmade with natural Skin nourishing Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter and Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil to soothe, soften and pamper your Skin. Beautifully blended together with the scrubbing power of finely crushed Walnut Shells to provide powerful exfoliation and leave your Skin gently scented with our signature Mandarella fragrance.
The essence of blue Skies, simmering Sunshine and positive vibes. This uplifting blend of Citrus Fruits includes juicy Mandarin Orange, zesty Lime and bitter Lemon, finished with spicy undertones of fresh Basil.
It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Cetyl Alcohol, Cocoa Seed Butter, Shea Butter, Glyceryl Sterate SE, Rape Seed Oil, Walnut Shell Powder, Kaolin, Phenoxyethanol, Monopropylene Glycol, Fragrance, Liral, Alpha Iso Methyl Ionene, Citral, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool, and Lillal, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Mandarin scent to it that kind of reminded me of the Jo Malone Lime Basil & Mandarin Cologne.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Polish, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gritty, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy Body Butter with little pieces of Walnut Shell Powder running all the way through it rather than a harsh and gritty yet ever so slightly creamy Body Polish.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gritty Body Butter into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gritty Body Polish that spread really easily across my Body.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy and intensely moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Mandarin for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Metal Tin with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate The Yorkshire Soap Company Mandarella Body Polish an eight point five out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Mandarin scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it hadn’t contained Walnut Shell Powder as it can sometimes tear your Skin to shreds and had maybe contained Sea Salt or Sugar instead.
