Even though it’s normally quite a small range, I still really look forward to whenever Lush releases their Father’s Day range, as it’s usually one of the only times that we get to see some of their deeper, grassier and more masculine-scented products. That’s why when I had heard that they had released a Father’s Day 2025 range, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Happy Hippy Bath Bomb, a How Many Tickles Does It Take To Make An Octopus Laugh? Bath Bomb, a What Do You Call A Fish With No Eyes? Bath Bomb, and a Bottle of Dad’s Minted Shower Gel, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

A long time ago, in a land far away… Actually it was in 29 High Street, Poole, Dorset, the Lush Co-Founders ran a company called Cosmetics To Go. One of their bestselling products was a Grapefruit Shower Gel, Happy Hippy. We brought back this joyously refreshing Gel to Lush in 2005 and it’s been a Customer Favourite ever since. Now we’ve infused the far out fragrance of Happy Hippy into this Bath Bomb to celebrate Father’s Day! Enhanced with Magnesium Sulfate, AKA Epsom Salts, to help tired Dad Bods relax, Cornstarch to soften them up, and Grapefruit and Bergamot for that nostalgic zesty scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Coconut Milk Powder, Grapefruit Oil, Bergamot Oil, Olibanum Oil, Cornstarch, Water, Titanium Dioxide, Epsom Salts, Dipropylene Glycol, Sodium Coco Sulfate, Propylene Glycol, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, Citral, Limonene, Linalool, Fragrance, Colour 15985:1, Colour 19140:1, Colour 47005:1, Colour 14700, Colour 45410:2, Colour 45410:1, Colour 17200, and Colour 45410, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Grapefruit scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you cut into a perfectly ripened Grapefruit.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of beautiful bright Orange all over the surface of the Water, and then after a couple more seconds it also released streams of gorgeous bright Pink and Yellow all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the beautiful bright Orange to turn my entire Bath a stunning shimmering burnt Orange colour. I also really liked that once it had finally finished fizzing and hissing, that it released little pieces of Epsom Salt all over the surface of the Water that eventually dissolved and left behind some incredibly silky soft feeling Water.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Grapefruit for hours after I had used it.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Sodium Alginate, Fragrance, Bergamot Oil, Rosemary Oil, Tarragon Oil, West Timor Sandalwood Oil, Water, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Coco Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 14700, and Colour 45410:1, I thought that it had a delicious deep and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Bergamot scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you walk past a Bergamot Tree on a boiling hot Summer’s Day.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of beautiful bright Pink all over the surface of the Water that eventually turned my entire Bath a stunning Coral Pink colour. I also really liked that once it had finally finished fizzing and hissing, that it released little pieces of Sodium Alginate all over the surface of the Water that eventually dissolved and left behind some incredibly silky soft feeling Water.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious deep and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Bergamot for hours after I had used it.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Agar Agar, Cornstarch, Sicilian Lemon Oil, Lemon Myrtle Oil, Litsea Cubeba Oil, Styrax Resinoid, Titanium Dioxide, Water, Sodium Coco Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Dipropylene Glycol, Citral, Limonene, Fragrance, and Colour 47005:1, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly fruity Lemon scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had crushed up an entire Packet of Refresher Chew Sweets.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of beautiful bright Yellow all over the surface of the Water that eventually turned my entire Bath a stunning Canary Yellow colour. I also really liked that once it had finally finished fizzing and hissing, that it released little pieces of Agar Agar all over the surface of the Water that eventually dissolved and left behind some incredibly silky soft feeling Water.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly fruity Lemon for hours after I had used it.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Mint and Vanilla Pod Infusion, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerine, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl Betaine, Fragrance, West Timor Sandalwood Oil, Vanilla Absolute, Sesame Seed Absolute , Peppermint Oil, Carrageenan Extract, Titanium Dioxide, Cornstarch, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, Benzyl Alcohol, Colour 42090:2, and Colour 42090, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly minty Coconut and Mint scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had sprinkled some drops of Peppermint Oil over an entire Packet of Snowball Cakes.
It’s consistency.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Gel, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly slimy, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly slimy Shower Slime rather than a thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Shower Gel.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy Shower Slime into a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly frothy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly minty Coconut and Mint for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Lush Happy Hippy Bath Bomb a nine out of ten, the Lush How Many Tickles Does It Take To Make An Octopus Laugh? Bath Bomb an eight out of ten, the Lush What Do You Call A Fish With No Eyes? Bath Bomb a nine out of ten, and the Lush Dad’s Minted Shower Gel an eight point five out of ten. I really liked the Lush Happy Hippy Bath Bomb, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Grapefruit scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had contained a little bit more Epsom Salt to leave my Skin feeling even more soothed. I really liked the Lush How Many Tickles Does It Take To Make An Octopus Laugh? Bath Bomb, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and zesty yet ever so slightly grassy Bergamot scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just think that it was in the wrong scent, as I would have preferred it to of smelt of either their Big Blue, their Ocean Salt, or maybe even their Salt Water Soother scents. I really liked the Lush What Do You Call A Fish With No Eyes ?Bath Bomb, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly fruity Lemon scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had done a little bit more when I had used it. I really liked the Lush Dad’s Minted Shower Gel, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly minty Coconut and Mint scent, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had contained some Menthol Crystals so that it had created a really nice cooling sensation whenever I used it.
