I absolutely love it whenever Lush decides to release a limited edition Charity product, as not only does it mean that they raise quite a lot of Money for some very worthwhile causes, but it also means that we get to see some of their retro scents in some cool and quirky products. That’s why when I had heard that they had released a Proud To Love You Washcard with all proceeds going to support Galop and their efforts to ban Conversion Therapy, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Have a Heart, ban Conversion Therapy.
Our Proud To Love You Washcard is part of our campaign to ban Conversion Therapy in partnership with Galop, the LGBT+ Anti-Abuse Charity. We believe everyone should be free to love who they choose and to freely be themselves.
No one should be forced to change or suppress their Sexual Orientation or Gender Identity. All of the money from the sales of this Washcard, minus the VAT, will be going to support Galop’s work, including their vital Conversion Therapy Helpline.
Please take a moment to support a full ban on Conversion Therapy that includes the whole LGBT+ community, without any loopholes, by writing to your MP.
How to use.
Made from Fresh Apple Pulp, this Washcard has a fragrance that really packs a punch. Grapefruit Oil layers on bitter Citrus, and prominent Petitgrain produces a woody green aroma. Lather up under running Water, on the Body, in the Hair, wherever you wish to scent with this fresh, enlivening fragrance.
How to store.
Pop this Washcard somewhere cool, safe, and dry until you’re ready to use.
Its scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Fresh Apple Pulp, Sodium Cocoa Sulfate, Hydroxy Propyl Methyl Cellulose, Alcohol Denat, Sodium Polyacrylate, Limonene, Grapefruit Oil, Petitgrain Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Water, Talc, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Propylene Glycol, Tin Oxide, Citral, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellol, Linalool, Fragrance, Colour 77499, Colour 45410:2, Colour 15851, Colour 45410:1, Colour 17200, and Colour 77491, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly floral Orange scent to it that kind of reminded me of walking past a Bitter Orange Tree on a boiling hot Summer’s Day.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had torn a little bit of it off, had held it under some running Water, and had started to massage it into my Skin, it created an incredibly thick and frothy yet ever so slightly creamy lather that spread really easily across my Body and Hands. I also really liked that when I had torn a little bit of it off to use as a Drawer Freshener, that it kept my Drawer smelling really fresh and delicious for at least two weeks afterwards and didn’t turn into mush.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly floral Orange for at least half an hour after I had used it.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would had to rate the Lush Proud To Love You Washcard a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly floral Orange scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it was available in some other scents as I think that a Solid Washcard in a range of different scents would be perfect for anyone who’s trying to use a little bit less Plastic.
