Even though i’ve never really been a massive fan of Lush’s range of Cleansers, after trying and loving the Blueberry Roly Poly Cleanser, i’ve realised that as long as it contains Yoghurt in some way, shape or form that my Skin seems to really like it. That’s why when I had heard that they had released a Spring Fresh 2026 range that contained a range of Face Masks, Foot Masks, Hair Food and Yoghurt-based Cleansers, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Tub of Ladybird Cleanser, and a Tub of Thud Of The Dozy Bumblebee Cleanser, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.
Here’s what Lush say about both amazing products.
The Lush Ladybird Cleanser.
Spot on for cleansed Skin.
Dull Skin bugging you? Good fortune has officially landed with creamy Coconut Yoghurt, brightening Papaya and cooling Aloe Vera. Looks like this Ladybird has all the smoothing, softening moves you’ve been looking for, lucky you!
What’s in it for you?
Ideal for gently cleansing and boosting Skin’s radiance.
Soapless Cleanser, uses Kaolin Clay to gently remove excess Dirt and Oil.

How to use.
Take a pinch from this gentle, soapless Cleanser and add a little Water to make a Paste. Apply to damp Skin then wash off in circular movements.
How to store.

It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Kaolin, Calamine Powder, Fresh Papaya, Coconut Yoghurt, Fresh Aloe Gel, Fine Sea Salt, Rhassoul Mud, Vanilla Extract, Orange Oil, Blackcurrant Extract, Tagetes Oil, Carrageenan Extract, Water, Powdered Charcoal, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Limonene, Fragrance, and Colour 14700, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly fizzy Blackcurrant scent to it that kind of reminded me of drinking a massive Glass of Vimto on a boiling hot Summer’s Day.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Cleanser, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Cleansing Paste rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Cleanser.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had mixed a good pinch of it with some Water and had started to massage it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Cleansing Paste into a thin and creamy Cleansing Milk that spread really easily across my Face.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, refreshed, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clear, a little bit brighter and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical clear Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s scent.
I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerin, Kaolin, Lupin Flour, Honey, Rhassoul Mud, Fresh Aloe Gel, Coconut Yoghurt, Fine Sea Salt, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Bergamot Oil, Orange Oil) Powdered Charcoal, Gardenia Extract, Cowslips, Turmeric Powder, Safflower Petals, Carrageenan Extract, Fragrance, and Colour 47005:1, I thought that it had a very subtile sweet and nutty yet ever so slightly creamy Honey scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you pour some Milk over a massive Bowl of Crunchy Nut Cornflakes.
It’s consistency.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Cleanser, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly sticky, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly sticky Shaper Paste rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Cleanser.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly sticky Shaper Paste into a thin and creamy Cleansing Milk with little pieces of Safflower Flower running through it that spread really easily across my Face.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, matte, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, a little bit brighter and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.

My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Lush Ladybird Cleanser a nine out of ten, and the Lush Thud Of The Dozy Bumblebee Cleanser a six point five out of ten. I really liked the Lush Ladybird Cleanser, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly fizzy Blackcurrant scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was part of their main range. I really liked the Lush Thud Of The Dozy Bumblebee Cleanser, as I absolutely loved it’s very subtile sweet and nutty yet ever so slightly creamy Honey scent, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly sticky consistency. I also think that it didn’t really know what kind of a Cleanser it was supposed to be, as part of it was meant for people with dry Skin and the other part was meant for people with extremely Blemish-Prone Skin, and unfortunately the two just combined to create a decent but very basic Cleanser.
