I don’t usually change what Shampoo and Conditioner i’m using, as when I do my Hair and Scalp tend to have a massive tantrum and become incredibly dry, flaky and dehydrated. But everyone has been absolutely raving about the Lush Super Milk Haircare range lately, which includes a Shampoo, a Conditioner, and the Hair Primer that i’ve already tried, and I just couldn’t resist checking it out for myself when I popped into my local Lush store a couple of weeks ago to pick up some of the Lush Halloween Fresh 2025 range. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Tub of Super Milk Shampoo, and a Tub of Super Milk Conditioner, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

The Lush Super Milk Shampoo.
Try it for the Fragrance, love it for the effects.
Time to reach that Protein Target! This shake of a Shampoo has over 18% Fresh Tofu and strengthening Oils to leave Long Hair looking healthy, lustrous and smelling incredible.
What’s in it for you?
With Agave Syrup, Olive Oil and over 15% moisturising Glycerine to soften, hydrate and give your lengths extra strength and resilience when you’re brushing.
Over 15% Meadowsweet Infusion contains naturally exfoliating Salicylic Acid. We add a little extra Salicylic in too, so your Scalp feels cleansed, clear and ready to soak up the good stuff!

How to use.

How to use.
Smooth through Wet Hair, paying particular attention to the ends and leave for five minutes to soak up all that goodness. Rinse and reveal softened, happy Locks. Add yet another layer of Fragrance and softness with Super Milk Primer and style as you like.

It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerine, Meadowsweet Infusion, Silken Tofu, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Organic Agave Syrup, Fresh Grape Juice, Cetrimonium Chloride, Fragrance, Witch Hazel Extract, Litsea Cubeba Oil, Benzoin Resinoid, Vanilla Absolute, West Timor Sandalwood Oil, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Rice Vinegar, Polyquaternium-81, Salicylic Acid, Citral, Coumarin, Limonene, and Linalool, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Lemon scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you pour some Lemon Icing over a Sponge Cake when you’re making a Lemon Drizzle Cake.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shampoo, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly creamy, and was more like an incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly creamy Cleansing Balm rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Shampoo.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Hair, it turned from an incredibly thick and balmy yet ever so slightly creamy Cleansing Balm into a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Shampoo that spread really easily through my Hair.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Hair and Scalp feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, soothed, refreshed, balanced, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left my Hair looking extremely volumised, a lot shinier, much healthier and smelling of delicious sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Lemon for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Black Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Hair and Scalp feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, soothed, refreshed, balanced, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left my Hair looking extremely volumised, a lot shinier, much healthier and smelling of delicious sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Lemon for hours after I had used it.

My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Lush Super Milk Shampoo an eight point five out of ten, and the Lush Super Milk Conditioner a nine out of ten. I really liked the Lush Super Milk Shampoo, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Lemon scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but because it contained so much Protein it tended to make my Hair feel very crispy if I used it for too many washes in a row. I really liked the Lush Super Milk Conditioner, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and zesty yet ever so slightly creamy Lemon scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Lemon.
