Even though I absolutely love it whenever Lush releases a Collaboration range as it usually means that I get to discover some new and interesting Brands that I wouldn’t have otherwise heard of, I do wish that they would calm down for a while as they’ve practically been releasing a new collaboration range every other week lately. That’s why when I had heard that they had released an x Astroid City range that’s been inspired by Wes Anderson’s new Film Asteroid City, I obviously had to pop down to my local Lush store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up an Asteroid Bath Bomb, and a Bottle of Asteroid City Shower Gel, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.
Here’s what Lush say about both delicious smelling products.

What’s out there?
Every year the residents of Asteroid City celebrate Asteroid Day, the date in 3007 BC when the Arid Plains Meteorite crashed into the Desert, leaving behind nothing but a Crater and Stardust.
Now, fresh from the lesser Moon of the hypothetical Planet Magnavox-27, you can commemorate the day in the comfort of your own Tub, as Asteroid Bath Bomb makes impact with your Bathwater. How to use.

It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Alcohol Denat, Fragrance, Popping Candy, Water, Grapefruit Oil, Bergamot Oil, Almond Essential Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Corn Protein, Cornstarch, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Dipropylene Glycol, Sodium Coco Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Silica, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 77499, Colour 77491, Colour 42090, Colour 14700, and Colour 45510, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Blackcurrant and Violet scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had crushed up an entire Packet of Palma Violet Sweets into a massive Jug of Blackcurrant Juice.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once it hit the Water, it fizzed and hissed for a couple of seconds before releasing streams of beautiful bright Blue all over the surface of the Water, and then after a couple more seconds it also released streams of gorgeous bright Pink all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the beautiful bright Blue to turn my entire Bath a stunning pale Purple colour. Then after a couple more seconds it also released streams of vivid dark Purple and stunning Silver Lustre all over the surface of the Water that eventually blended with the stunning pale Purple to turn my entire Bath a mesmerising dark Purple colour. I also really liked that after it had finally finished fizzing and hissing, that it released little pieces of Popping Candy all over the surface of the Water that made it sound like an Asteroid was actually crashing into my Bathroom.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Blackcurrant and Violet for hours after I had used it.

It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerine, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl Betaine, Fragrance, Grapefruit Oil, Bergamot Oil, Almond Essential Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Limonene, Linalool, Colour 42053, and Colour 42090, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Blackcurrant and Violet scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had crushed up an entire Packet of Palma Violet Sweets into a massive Jug of Blackcurrant Juice.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Gel, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly creamy, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly creamy Shower Cream rather than a thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Shower Gel.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly creamy Shower Cream into a thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Blackcurrant and Violet for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Lush Asteroid Bath Bomb a nine out of ten, and the Lush Asteroid City Shower Gel an eight point five out of ten. I really liked the Lush Asteroid Bath Bomb, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Blackcurrant and Violet scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it was part of their main range and that it’s delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Blackcurrant and Violet scent was also available in some other products, like a Body Lotion, a Lush Melt, or maybe even a Perfume. I really liked the Lush Asteroid City Shower Gel, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Blackcurrant and Violet scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had felt a little bit thicker, as I noticed that I tended to use quite a lot more than I usually would whenever I use a Shower Gel.
