A couple of weeks ago, me, Jamie and Michelle were very kindly invited down to Lush York to come and celebrate the launch of their brand new store, as they’ve recently moved to a new bigger and brighter Store. Well after having a fantastic time checking everything out, I thought that I would tell you all about it.

What happened when I visited Lush York.
Once we had arrived in York, had gone for a Coffee, and had met up with Michelle, we eventually headed to Lush York, which is located next door to Zara and across from their previous Store on Coney Street in York City Centre.
Then once we had walked into the very bright and colourful looking Store, we were very kindly greeted by Sarah, one of the Store Managers, who said hi and asked us if we were there for their Relaunch Event. We said hi back, and that yes we were, and after a couple of seconds of us all chatting, she said that we could go on through and that she hoped that we had a great evening. We then just walked around the Store and checked out all of the different departments that were dotted around the Store.

The first department that we visited was their Fireworks Makeup Department, which contained lots of beautiful Makeup that’s currently only available to the York Store, including their Glitter Sprays that are available in either Golden Egg, Intergalactic or Snow Fairy, their Glitter Crushes which are a Loose Powder Pigment Eyeshadow, their Cocktail Body Lustre, their Cocktail and Keep It Fluffy Dusting Powders, their Naked Lipsticks, and even their Lip Jellies which not only give your Lips a very subtile tint but also taste incredible.

Then once we had finished checking out all of the beautiful Makeup, we headed over to their Archive Wall Department which contained an entire range of previously discontinued products, including the Fizzbanger Bath Bomb, the Space Girl Bath Bomb, the Green Bubbleroon, Plum Rain Shower Gel, Sonic Death Monkey Shower Gel, Salt & Peppermint Bark Body Scrub, Elbow Grease Moisturising Balm, and many, many more.

Then once we had finished checking out all of the amazing products at the Archive Wall Department, we headed over to their Body Care Department where some of the Staff were giving people Hand and Arm Massages using some of the Viral Lush products that have been all over my Social Media Feeds lately. They asked me if I would like a Hand and Arm Massage, to which I of course said yes, and after sitting down at one of their Stools, one of their really nice Staff Members started to give me a Hand and Arm Massage. He first started by dunking my Hand and Arm into a Bowl of Warm Water, getting a scoop of their Sticky Dates Body Scrub really wet, and then scrubbing it all over my Hand and Arm. Then after a couple of seconds of him scrubbing my Hand and Arm, he placed it back into the Bowl of really warm Water to rinse it off. Then once he had finished and had patted my Skin dry, he brought me three of their Massage Bars, Coconut Drench, Sleepy and Turmeric Latte, to sniff so that I could personalise my Massage. I ended up choosing Coconut Drench as it just smelt so nice, and after he had warmed it up between his Hands for a couple of seconds, he started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin whilst giving me a really deep Massage. Then once he had finally finished massaging all of the amazing moisturising Oils into my Skin, he sprinkled a little bit of the Silky Underwear Dusting Powder and sprayed a little bit of the Let The Good Times Roll Body Spray to finish everything off, before saying that he hoped that I enjoyed the rest of my evening.

Then once we had all finished having our Hand and Arm Massages, we headed over to the Party Department where a really nice Man called Joe was making some Bath Bombs, and after we had all been chatting for a couple of seconds, he asked us if we would like to make a Bath Bomb of our very own. We of course said yes, and after I had managed to get a set of Rubber Gloves on, he talked us through how to make our very own Magical Santa Bath Bomb. I first had to sprinkle a little bit of White Powder all over the Mould where I wanted my Santa to be White, including his Beard, Hands, Belly and Feet. Then once we had finished with the White Powder, he brought out some Bowls of bright Yellow Powder, dark Pink Powder that had some pieces of Dried Beetroot Powder in it, light Orange Powder, and dark Orange Powder that had some Turmeric mixed into it, and said that we had to fill up the rest of the mould with the different coloured Powders to create a layered effect. He also gave us some pieces of Citric Acid to mix into one of the Bowls, as when they make a Bath Bomb they like to include bits of Citric Acid at each layer to make it as fizzy as possible. Then once we had finished filling up our moulds with all of the different coloured Powder, he said that we had to press all of the Powder down into the mould to make sure that it was compact so that it could set. Then once I had finished pressing all of the Powder down, he very kindly put it into a Paper Bag so that I could take it Home with me.

Then once we had finished making our Bath Bombs, we just wandered around the Store for a while and checked out some of the other Departments, including their The Lush Version Department which has taken old formulas from when Mark Constantine, the owner, used to work at The Body Shop and reinterpreted them, their Fragrance Department full of all their delicious smelling Body Sprays and Perfumes, their Gourmand Department full of all their delicious smelling and viral Gourmand-smelling products like Super Milk, Sticky Dates and Yog Nog, and their Snow Fairy Department which was full of every Snow Fairy scented product imaginable.

Then after we had been wandering around the Store for a while, the evening started to draw to a close. So we said our thank you’s and goodbyes to some of the really nice Staff Members that we had met throughout the evening, and headed off back into York to catch our Train. But before we could leave, Sarah, one of the Store Managers, very kindly gave us all an amazing Goodie Bag containing a Bottle of Sticky Dates Body Spray, a Bottle of Super Milk Conditioning Spray, a Pot of Ultrabland Cleanser, a Tub of Braziliant Body Butter, a Little Snow Fairy Gift, and a Scrubee Body Butter.
I had a fantastic time celebrating the launch of Lush York’s new Store, and if you would like to find out more about them, including all of the Events that they will have on offer over the next couple of months, then you can find them online here.
I would just like to thank Lush York for having me, Jamie and Michelle, and for hosting such a fantastic evening.
