With me using Retinol to try and get rid of some of the Fine Lines and Wrinkles that are around my Eyes and Forehead, my Skin can sometimes get very irritated if I use it for too many nights in a row. That’s why when I had heard that Peter Thomas Roth had released a Cucumber Gel Mask that claims to soothe and hydrate irritated Skin, I obviously had to check it out. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Peter Thomas Roth say about their Cucumber Gel Mask.
This ultra-gentle gel helps soothe, hydrate and detoxify the look of dry, irritated skin with botanical extracts of Cucumber, Papaya, Chamomile, Pineapple, Sugar Maple, Sugarcane, Orange, Lemon, Bilberry and Aloe Vera. Excellent for helping to calm and soothe the skin’s appearance after sun exposure, peels, waxing, facials and extractions.
It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Butylene Glycol, Cucumber Fruit Extract, Pineapple Fruit Extract, Bilberry Leaf Extract, Papaya Fruit Extract, Sugar Maple Extract, Sugar Cane Extract, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Matricaria Flower Extract, Matricaria Flower Oil, Lemon Fruit Extract, Orange Fruit Extract, Mango Fruit Extract, Sodium Pca, Allantoin, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Disodium Edta, Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Polysorbate 20, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol, Yellow 5, and Blue 1, I thought that it had a delicious subtile fresh and watery yet ever so slightly fruity Cucumber scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had stirred a massive Glass of Fruit Juice with a Stick of Cucumber.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Face Mask, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Gel Face Wash rather than a thick and balmy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Face Mask.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Gel Face Wash into a thin and balmy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Face Mask that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, less irritated and much healthier for at least 24 hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall flat conical Plastic Tube with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask an eight out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious subtile fresh and watery yet ever so slightly fruity Cucumber scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging. But I just can’t justify spending £45 on a Face Mask as I think that there are a lot of other amazing Face Masks currently on the market that do a similar job for a lot less money.
