I absolutely love using Solid Haircare, like Shampoo Bars, Conditioner Bars, and Solid Hair Serums in my Haircare Routine, as not only are they incredibly eco-friendly, but I really like that I can quickly change them out whenever my Hair decides to have a meltdown or when I inevitably get bored of their scent. That’s why when I saw that The Body Shop had released a range of Shampoo Bars as well as a Shampoo Bar Travel Case to keep them in between uses, I obviously had to pop down to my local The Body Shop store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Banana Truly Nourishing Shampoo Bar and a Shampoo Bar Travel Case, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.
Here’s what The Body Shop say about both amazing products.

It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Water, Polyglyceryl-4 Laurate, Glycerin, Myristyl Lactate, Glyceryl Oleate, Fragrance, Xylitylglucoside, Spiny Holdback Gum, Anhydroxylitol, Decyl Glucoside, Xylitol, Banana Fruit Extract, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, Glucose, Linalool, Coumarin, Lecithin, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Tocopherol, Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides Citrate, Ascorbic Acid, CI 19140/Yellow 5, and CI 77492/Iron Oxides, I thought that it had a delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly creamy Banana scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you chop up some over-ripened Bananas to make a Loaf of Banana Bread.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had submerged it in a little bit of Water and had started to massage it into my Hair, it created an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous lather that spread really easily through my Hair.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Hair feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely volumised, really shiny, less frizzy, much healthier and smelling of delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly creamy Banana for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a really thick Cardboard Box that kept the Shampoo Bar really fresh until I was ready to start using it.

It’s material.
I really liked it’s material, as even though it was made out of 100% Recycled Aluminium, I thought that it felt really thick and substantial and didn’t break or dent when I inevitably dropped it on my Bathroom Floor.
Its size.
I really liked it’s size, as even though it was just a generic circular Shampoo Bar shaped Tin, I loved that they had made it slightly bigger than their Shampoo Bars so that I could place my Shampoo Bar inside it the second that I had removed it from it’s packaging.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as I really liked that I could place my Shampoo Bar inside it the second that I had used it and not have to worry that it would disintegrate like some of the other Shampoo Bars that i’ve tried in the past have done.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate The Body Shop Banana Truly Nourishing Shampoo Bar an eight point five out of ten, and The Body Shop Shampoo Bar Travel Case a nine out of ten. I really liked The Body Shop Banana Truly Nourishing Shampoo Bar, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious deep and fruity yet ever so slightly creamy Banana scent, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in some other scents, like Lemon, Mango, or maybe even Tea Tree. I really liked The Body Shop Shampoo Bar Travel Case, as I absolutely loved it’s really thick and substantial feeling material, it’s size, and what it did when I used it, but I just wish that it was available in some other shapes and sizes so that I could use it with some of the other Solid Body Care, Haircare and Skincare that I own.
