Blowing A Raspberry At Dehydrated Skin | The Body Shop Fresh Raspberry Range

One of my favourite The Body Shop scents from years gone by definitely has to be their Raspberry range, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet an fruity yet ever so slightly grassy Raspberry scent. That’s why when I had heard that they had released a Fresh Raspberry range, I obviously had to pop down to my local The Body Shop store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Bottle of the Fresh Raspberry Shower Gel, a Tub of the Fresh Raspberry Gel Body Scrub, a Tub of the Fresh Raspberry Whipped Body Butter, and a Bottle of the Fresh Raspberry Hydrating Body Mist, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what The Body Shop say about all four delicious smelling products.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Sodium Chloride, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PEG-100 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Citric Acid, Benzophenone-3, Disodium EDTA, Raspberry Fruit Extract, Linalool, Geraniol, Polysorbate-20, Sodium Hydroxide, Denatonium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, CI 14700/Red 5, CI 17200/Red 33, and CI 42090/Blue 1, I thought that it had a delicious tart and juicy yet ever so slightly grassy Raspberry scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you boil some Raspberries to make Raspberry Jam.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Gel, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water rather than a thick and gloopy Shower Gel.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water into a thick and frothy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious tart and juicy yet ever so slightly grassy Raspberry for hours after I had used it

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Scrub, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Microdermabrasion Facial Scrub rather than a thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly gritty Body Scrub.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Microdermabrasion Facial Scrub into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly frothy Shower Gel with little pieces of grit in it that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

It’s longevity.

I really liked how long this lasted on my Skin, as I sprayed a little bit of it on to my Wrists, Neck and Clothes when I was getting ready at about eight o’clock in the morning, and I could still faintly smell it on my Skin and Clothes when I had Lunch at about twelve thirty in the afternoon.

  1. Mmm lots of yummy ones! I quite like the idea of the gel body scrub, I don’t think I’ve tried one of those from The Body Shop before in gel format. I love their body mists and raspberry sounds very sweet and fresh. The list of ingredients in things always makes the mind boggle, doesn’t it? I think I prefer not to know what’s in stuff these days Fab write-up for all of these!
