The Fresh, Zesty Scent Of Yuzu Always Reminds Me Of Summer | The Body Shop Yuzu Range

If you didn’t already know, I absolutely love any thing that smells of Citrus, especially Body Care, Candles, and Fragrances. That’s why when I had heard that The Body Shop had released a Yuzu range that claims to smell just like a freshly picked perfectly ripened Yuzu, I obviously had to pop down to my local The Body Shop store and check everything out. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Bottle of the Yuzu Shower Gel, a Tub of the Yuzu Water-Gel Body Yoghurt, and a Bottle of the Yuzu Fragrance Mist, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what The Body Shop say about all three delicious smelling products.

The Body Shop Yuzu Shower Gel.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Decyl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Coco-Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Fragrance, Sodium Benzoate, Limonene, Citric Acid, Sodium Gluconate, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice Powder, Yuzu Peel Extract, Citral, Denatonium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, CI 19140/Yellow 5, and CI 14700/Red 4, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly sour Orange scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you blend up a perfectly ripened Yuzu.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Gel, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Gel Body Lotion rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Shower Gel.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Body Gel into a thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly sour Yuzu for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat, Pentylene Glycol, Propanediol, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Phenoxyethanol, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Fragrance, Carbomer, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Aminomethyl Propanol, Limonene, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Gluconate, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice Powder, Sodium Hyaluronate, Yuzu Peel Extract, Citral, Linalool, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, and CI 19140/Yellow 5, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly peppery Orange scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you blend up a perfectly ripened Yuzu.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Yoghurt, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Gel-Cream Moisturiser rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Body Yoghurt.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Gel-Cream Moisturiser into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Body Yoghurt that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, refreshed, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly peppery Yuzu for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short rounded rectangular Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Alcohol Denat, Water, Fragrance, Limonene, Citral, Linalool, Benzyl Alcohol, and Denatonium Benzoate, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly sour Yuzu scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you blend up a perfectly ripened Yuzu.

It’s longevity.

I really liked how long this lasted on my Skin, as I sprayed a little bit of it on to my Wrists, Neck and Clothes when I was getting ready at about eight o’clock in the Morning, and I could still strongly smell it on my Skin when I sat down to have a Cup of Tea at about three o’clock in the Afternoon.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Glass Bottle with a metallic Spray Pump Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate The Body Shop Yuzu Shower Gel a nine out of ten, The Body Shop Yuzu Water-Gel Body Yoghurt a nine out of ten, and The Body Shop Yuzu Fragrance Mist an eight point five out of ten. I really liked The Body Shop Yuzu Shower Gel, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly sour Yuzu scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was part of their main range. I really liked The Body Shop Yuzu Water-Gel Body Yoghurt, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly peppery Yuzu scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a much bigger Tub. I really liked The Body Shop Yuzu Fragrance Mist, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly sour Yuzu scent, it’s longevity, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly sour Yuzu scent had lasted for even longer on my Skin.
