My Little Escape From The World | Yankee Candle Garden Hideaway Collection

Yankee Candle have recently released their Garden Hideaway collection, which includes Afternoon Escape, Camellia Blossom, Homemade Herb Lemonade, and Sunny Daydream, and being the Candle addict that I am, as soon as I had heard that they had been released, I obviously had to hop on to their Website and pick them all up. Well i’ve been burning them for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Yankee Candle say about all four delicious smelling Candles.

Afternoon Escape.

A woodland escape into an enchanted Garden, with sun-warmed Cypress, Jasmine, Lemon and Cedar. Yankee Candle Afternoon Escape also contains top notes of Lemon and Cypress, heart notes of Geranium, Jasmine and Lily, and base notes of Cedarwood, Amber and Woody.

Camellia Blossom.

Soft and peaceful, you’re favourite spot in the Garden, enveloped in the luminous fragrance of Camellia. Yankee Candle Camellia Blossom also contains top notes of Sea Salt and Apple Blossom, heart notes of Camellia, Jasmine and Orange Flower, and base notes of Patchouli, White Cedar and Musk.

Homemade Herb Lemonade.

Your very own freshly squeezed Lemonade made with a hint of Ginger and garnished with Herbs picked right from your Garden. Yankee Candle Homemade Herb Lemonade also contains top notes of Fresh Lemon, Crushed Ginger and Mint, heart notes of Clary Sage and Thyme, and base notes of Bay Leaf, Sugar Cane and Vanilla.

Sunny Daydream.

Drift away among the Flowers with the warm, sweet scents of exotic Ylang Ylang, Bergamot and Jasmine. Yankee Candle Sunny Daydream also contains top notes of Bergamot and Citrus Blossoms, heart notes of Gardenia, Ylang Ylang and Jasmine, and base notes of Amber, Sandalwood and Patchouli.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Cypress, Jasmine, and Cedarwood, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly woody Citrus scent to it that kind of reminded me of the Davidoff Horizon Eau De Toilette. I could definitely smell the Lemon, Cypress, Lily, Cedarwood, and Amber, as I thought that they were all what gave it it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly woody Citrus scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Geranium, Jasmine, or Woody, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.

It’s scent throw.

I really liked it’s scent throw, as even though I thought that it smelt quite subtile in it’s Jar, it actually managed to fill my Room with it’s fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly woody Citrus scent that lasted for hours even after I had blown it out.

It’s burn time.

It said that you were supposed to get up to 150 hours of burn time out of this, but as I always kept my Wick trimmed, I easily got at least 160 hours of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly woody Citrus scent out of it.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Apple Blossom, Camellia, and Patchouli, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly fruity Camellia scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent of Laundry fresh out of the Washing Machine. I could definitely smell the Apple Blossom, Camellia, Jasmine, Orange Flower, White Cedar, and Musk, as I thought that they were all what gave it it’s delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly fruity Camellia scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Sea Salt or Patchouli, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.

It’s scent throw.

I really liked it’s scent throw, as even though I thought that it smelt quite subtile in it’s Jar, it managed to fill both my Room and the entire top floor of my House with it’s delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly fruity Camellia scent that lasted for hours even after I had blown it out.

It’s burn time.

It said that you were supposed to get up to 150 hours of burn time out of this, but as I always kept my Wick trimmed, I easily got at least 155 hours of delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly fruity Camellia scent out of it.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Crushed Ginger, Clary Sage, and Vanilla, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly powdery Lemon scent to it that kind of reminded me of the Lush Dad’s Garden Lemon Tree Body Spray. I could definitely smell the Fresh Lemon ,Crushed Ginger, Mint, Thyme, and Bay Leaf, as I thought that they were all what gave it it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly powdery Lemon scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Clary Sage, Sugar Cane, or Vanilla, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.

It’s burn time.

It said that you were supposed to get up to 150 hours of burn time out of this, but as I always kept my Wick trimmed, I easily got at least 60 hours of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly powdery Lemon scent out of it.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Citrus Blossoms, Ylang Ylang, and Patchouli, I thought that it had a very overwhelming sweet and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Perfume scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent I smell whenever I walk past a Penhaligon’s store. I could definitely smell the Bergamot, Gardenia, Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, Amber, and Patchouli, as I thought that they were all what gave it it’s very overwhelming sweet and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Perfume scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Citrus Blossoms or Sandalwood, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.

It’s scent throw.

I really liked it’s scent throw, as even though I thought that it smelt quite strong in it’s Jar, it was luckily one of those scents that I only really noticed once I had gone out of and had come back into the Room again as otherwise it would have managed to give me a massive Headache whenever I burnt it.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Yankee Candle Afternoon Escape an eight point five out of ten, the Yankee Candle Camellia Blossom, an eight out of ten, the Yankee Candle Homemade Herb Lemonade a nine out of ten, and the Yankee Candle Sunny Daydream a five out of ten. I really liked the Yankee Candle Afternoon Escape , as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly woody Citrus scent, it’s scent throw, and it’s burn time, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more strongly of Citrus. I really liked the Yankee Candle Camellia Blossom, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly fruity Camellia scent, it’s scent throw, and it’s burn time, but I just wish that it had a a little bit more of a stronger scent throw to it, I really liked the Yankee Candle Homemade Herb Lemonade, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly powdery Lemon scent, it’s scent throw, and it’s burn time, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Lemon. I really didn’t like the Yankee Candle Sunny Daydream, as even though I absolutely loved it’s very subtile scent throw, and it’s burn time, I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very overwhelming sweet and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Perfume scent.
