Another Little Escape From The World | Yankee Candle Garden Hideaway Collection Continued

Yankee Candle have recently added five new Candles to their Garden Hideaway collection, which includes Calamansi Cocktail, Garden Picnic, Lime & Coriander, Sweet Honeycomb, and Water Garden, and being the Candle addict that I am, as soon as I had heard that they had been released, I obviously had to hop on to their Website and pick them all up. Well i’ve been burning them for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Yankee Candle say about all five delicious smelling Candles.

Calamansi Cocktail.

a Drink designed for sipping in your favourite shaded Garden Spot, both tantalising and relaxing. Yankee Candle Calamansi Cocktail also contains top notes of Lemon Zest and Kumquat, heart notes of Pepper, Green Mandarin and Grapefruit, and base notes of Patchouli Leaves and Blond Cedar.

Garden Picnic.

Bring your Blanket and a Basket of the ripest, juiciest Fruit for a sunny Picnic among the Flowers. Yankee Candle Garden Picnic also contains top notes of Sweet Apricot, Nashi Pear and Nectarine, heart notes of Peach, Yellow Iris and Water Lily, and base notes of Warm Musk, Golden Amber and Sandalwood.

Lime & Coriander.

Garden fresh companions, sweet juicy Limes and leafy Coriander fill the air with fresh picked fragrance. Yankee Candle Lime & Coriander also contains top notes of Lime and Berry, heart notes of Lily of the Valley and Coriander, and base notes of Sandalwood and Tobacco.

Sweet Honeycomb.

Warm Honey, straight from the Comb, a naturally sweet fragrance with a touch of Caramel, Sandalwood and Vanilla. Yankee Candle Sweet Honeycomb also contains top notes of Honey and Macadamia, heart notes of Sunflower Seeds and Caramel, and base notes of Sandalwood, Cashew Milk and Vanilla.

Water Garden.

White Flowers in full bloom add a sweet perfume to the soothing sounds of cool, flowing Water in your backyard Oasis. Yankee Candle Water Garden also contains top notes of Pink Lily, Wild Grass and Cucumber Water, heart notes of Lily of the Valley, Lotus Flower and Orchid, and base notes of Birch Bark and Driftwood.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Kumquat, Green Mandarin, and Patchouli Leaves, I thought that it had an incredibly fresh and grassy yet ever so slightly zesty Lime scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured a massive Glass of Lime Juice over a Herb Garden. I could definitely smell the Lemon Zest, Kumquat, Pepper, Green Mandarin, and Patchouli Leaves, as I thought that they were all what gave it it’s incredibly fresh and grassy yet ever so slightly zesty Lime scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Grapefruit or Blond Cedar, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.

It’s scent throw.

I really liked it’s scent throw, as this managed to fill both my Room and the entire top floor of my House with it’s incredibly fresh and grassy yet ever so slightly zesty Lime scent that lasted for hours even after I had blown it out.

It’s burn time.

It said that you were supposed to get up to 150 hours of burn time out of this, but as I always kept my Wick trimmed, I easily got at least 155 hours of incredibly fresh and grassy yet ever so slightly zesty Lime scent out of it.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Nashi Pear, Yellow Iris, and Sandalwood, I thought that it had a very sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly creamy Peach & Apricot scent to it that kind of reminded me of if they had mixed some Apricot Juice into their Mango Peach Salsa Candle. I could definitely smell the Sweet Apricot, Nectarine, Peach, Yellow Iris, Water Lily, Warm Musk, and Sandalwood, as I thought that they were all what gave it it’s very sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly creamy Peach & Apricot scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Nashi Pear or Golden Amber, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.

It said that you were supposed to get up to 150 hours of burn time out of this, but as I always kept my Wick trimmed, I easily got at least 160 hours of very sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly creamy Peach & Apricot scent out of it.

It’s scent.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Berry, Lily of the Valley, and Tobacco, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly soapy Mens Aftershave scent to it that kind of reminded me of a Lime Basil and Mandarin Men’s Deodorant. I could definitely smell the Lime, Lily of the Valley, Coriander, and Tobacco, as I thought that they were all what gave it it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly soapy Men’s Aftershave scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Berry or Sandalwood, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.

It’s scent throw.

I was a little bit disappointed by it’s scent throw to be honest, as even though it smelt really strongly in it’s Jar, it was unfortunately one of those scents that I only really noticed once I had gone out of and had come back into the Room again.

It’s burn time.

It said that you were supposed to get up to 150 hours of burn time out of this, but as I always kept my Wick trimmed, I easily got at least 160 hours of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly soapy Men’s Aftershave scent out of it.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Macadamia, Sunflower Seeds, and Sandalwood, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly chocolatey Honeycomb scent to it that kind of reminded me of the smell of a melted Cadbury’s Crunchie Bar. I could definitely smell the Honey, Macadamia, Caramel, Cashew Milk, and Vanilla, as I thought that they were all what gave it it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly chocolatey Honeycomb scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Sunflower Seeds or Sandalwood, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.

It’s scent.

I think that this had to be my least favourite Candle of the entire bunch, as even though it contained Cucumber Water, Orchid, and Driftwood, I thought that it had an incredibly overpowering fresh and floral yet ever so slightly watery Cucumber scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured a Glass of Cucumber Water over a Bowl of Dried Lilies. I could definitely smell the Pink Lily, Wild Grass, Cucumber Water, Lily of the Valley, Orchid, and Driftwood, as I thought that they were all what gave it it’s incredibly overpowering fresh and floral yet ever so slightly watery Cucumber scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Lotus Flower or Birch Bark, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.

It’s scent throw.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent throw, as I was kind of hoping that it would be quite subtile given that I wasn’t a massive fan of it’s scent, but this actually managed to fill both my Room and the entire top floor of my House with it’s very overpowering fresh and floral yet ever so slightly watery Cucumber scent that lasted for hours even after I had blown it out.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Yankee Candle Calamansi Cocktail a seven point five out of ten, the Yankee Candle Garden Picnic an eight out of ten, the Yankee Candle Lime & Coriander a seven out of ten, the Yankee Candle Sweet Honeycomb a nine out of ten, and the Yankee Candle Water Garden a five out of ten. I really liked the Yankee Candle Calamansi Cocktail, as I absolutely loved it’s scent throw, and it’s burn time, but it unfortunately just smelt a little bit too fresh and grassy for me to totally love it. I really liked the Yankee Candle Garden Picnic, as I absolutely loved it’s very sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly creamy Peach & Apricot scent, it’s scent throw, and it’s burn time, but I just wish that it hadn’t smelt so sweet and creamy. I really liked the Yankee Candle Lime & Coriander, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly soapy Men’s Aftershave scent, and it’s burn time, but I was really disappointed by it’s very weak scent throw. I really liked the Yankee Candle Sweet Honeycomb, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly chocolatey Honeycomb scent, it’s scent throw, and it’s burn time, but I just wish that it was part of their main range. I unfortunately just wasn’t a massive fan of the Yankee Candle Water Garden, as even though I really liked it’s burn time, I just couldn’t stand it’s incredibly overpowering fresh and floral yet ever so slightly watery Cucumber scent, or it’s really strong scent throw.
