Yankee Candle have recently released their The Last Paradise collection which includes Beach Escape, Bora Bora Shores, Coconut Rice Dream, and The Last Paradise, and being the Candle addict that I am, as soon as I had heard that they had been released, I obviously had to hop on to their Website and pick them all up. Well i’ve been burning them for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Yankee Candle Beach Escape.

Yankee Candle Beach Escape also contains top notes of Ozone and Watery Green Palm, heart notes of Sea Isle, Nuguet, Jasmine and Dandelion, and base notes of Barley, Grass, Nusky and Woody.
Yankee Candle Bora Bora Shores.
Walk among the unspoilt Shores, enjoying the soft scents of sweet Fruits and tropical floral notes, while the Sun reflects off the Shore with a rosy glow. Yankee Candle Bora Bora Shores also contains top notes of Lemon Sugar, Kumquat Leaf and Hibiscus Water, heart notes of Monoi Flower, Bora Bora Blossom, Freesia and Papaya, and base notes of Blond Woods, Sugar Cane and Fruity Musk.
Yankee Candle Coconut Rice Dream.
A sweet, creamy treat with notes of aromatic Rice and fragrant Coconut, freshly scooped at an Island Oceanside Market. Yankee Candle Coconut Rice Dream also contains top notes of Bamboo Rice and Steamy Rice Vapour, heart notes of Rice Coconut and Watery Floral, and base notes of Sandalwood, Vanilla, Oriental and Sea Musk.

It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Watery Green Palm, Dandelion, and Grass, I thought that it had a very strange fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly plastic Sea Air scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured some Sea Water into a Plastic Bottle, let it ferment for months on end and then had set it on Fire. I could definitely smell the Ozone, Watery Green Palm, Sea Isle, Nuguet, Barley, Grass, and Musk, as I thought that they were all what gave it it’s very strange fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly plastic Sea Air scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Jasmine, Dandelion, or Woody, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.
It’s scent throw.
I really liked it’s scent throw, as this managed to fill both my Room and the entire top floor of my House with it’s very strange fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly plastic Sea Air scent that lasted for hours even after I had blown it out.
It’s burn time.
It said that you were supposed to get up to 150 hours of burn time out of this, but as I always kept my Wick trimmed, I easily got at least 155 hours of very strange fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly plastic Sea Air scent out of it.

It’s scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Lemon Sugar, Freesia, and Fruity Musk, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly floral Almond Milk and Honey scent to it that kind of reminded me of a big bowl of Almond Milk mixed with an entire Jar of Honey. I could definitely smell the Cumquat Leaf, Hibiscus Water, Bora Bora Blossom, Freesia, Papaya, and Blonde Woods, as I thought that they were all what gave it it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly fruity Almond Milk and Honey scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Lemon Sugar, Monoi Flower, Sugar Cane, or Fruity Musk, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.
It’s scent throw.
I really liked it’s scent throw, as this managed to fill both my Room and the entire top floor of my House with it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly fruity Almond Milk and Honey scent that lasted for hours even after I had blown it out.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Steamy Rice Vapour, Watery Floral, and Sea Musk, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly nutty burnt Rice scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had heated up a massive Bowl of Rice Krispies. I could definitely smell the Bamboo Rice, Steamy Rice Vapour, Rice Coconut, Sandalwood, and Vanilla, as I thought that they were all what gave it it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly nutty burnt Rice scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Watery Floral, Oriental, or Sea Musk, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.

I was actually really disappointed with it’s scent throw, as even though I thought that it smelt really strong in it’s Jar, this was unfortunately one of those scents that I only really noticed once I had gone out of and had come back into the Room again.
It’s burn time.

I could definitely smell the Jungle Leaf, Green Apple, Hibiscus, Osmanthus Blossom, Wild Grass, Orchid, White Musk, and Moss, as I thought that they were all what gave it it’s extremely deep and grassy yet ever so slightly floral Palm Leaf scent, but I couldn’t really smell any of the Mimosa, Plumeria, or Violet Leaf, as I thought that all of the other scents kind of overpowered them a little.

My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Yankee Candle Beach Escape a three out of ten, the Yankee Candle Bora Bora Shores an eight out of ten, the Yankee Candle Coconut Rice Cream an eight out of ten, and the Yankee Candle The Last Paradise a seven out of ten. I really wasn’t a massive fan of the Yankee Candle Beach Escape, as even though I absolutely loved it’s very powerful scent throw, and it’s burn time, I just couldn’t stand it’s very strange fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly plastic Sea Breeze scent. I really liked the Yankee Candle Bora Bora Shores, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly fruity Almond Milk and Honey scent, it’s scent throw, and it’s burn time, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit stronger. I really liked the Yankee Candle Coconut Rice Dream, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly nutty burnt Rice scent, and it’s burn time, but I just wish that it’s scent throw had been a little bit stronger. I really liked the Yankee Candle The Last Paradise, as I absolutely loved it’s really powerful scent throw, and it’s burn time, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s extremely deep and grassy yet ever so slightly floral Palm Leaf scent.
“Top notes of Ozone“, there’s something I never thought I’d see in a candle!
I love the idea of the range, especially living in the cold, rainy UK. I think Bora Bora Shores and The Last Paradise are particularly appealing to me with wanting something uplifting and a bit sweeter., but it’s a shame the latter didn’t translate as well in reality. Coconut Rice is an interesting one and I’d never known of anything using steamy rice vapour before. Some great burn times on these bad boys too. Great review!
