Whenever the Seasons change, my Skin, especially my Elbows and Knees tend to get incredibly dry, cracked and sore. That’s why when the guys over at Lotil very kindly asked me if I would like to try some of their Original Cream that adds intense hydration to dry, cracked and sore Skin, I of course said yes. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.
Here’s what Lotil say about their Original Cream.
Our Original Cream is recommended for use on all dry Skin that needs extreme repair and moisture. It contains powerful emollients that rapidly rehydrate the Skin and soften chapped and cracked Skin. It also combines a variety of properties to prevent infections and the rich, non-greasy and deeply hydrating formula penetrates quickly for practical use. It’s also perfect for use on Hands, Elbows, Knees, Body and Face.
- Softens Skin anywhere on the Body.
- Powerful emollients rapidly rehydrate Skin.
- Non-greasy formula that’s rapidly absorbed.
- Soothes Skin after Shaving.
- Soap replacement for sufferers of very dry Skin conditions including Psoriasis and Eczema.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Glycerin, Lanolin, Oleic Acid, Triethanolanine, and Coumarin, I thought that it had a very sweet and nutty yet ever so slightly medicinal Almond scent to it that kind of reminded me of if they had blended some Hospital Cleansing Gel with an entire Bottle of Almond Oil.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Cream, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly gelatinous, and was more like an incredibly thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Paste rather than a thick and creamy Body Cream.
What it didd when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Paste into a thick and creamy Body Cream that set within a matter of seconds.
I really liked it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, supple, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely hydrated and much healthier for hours after I had used it.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Lotil Original Cream a seven point five out of ten. I absolutely loved what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s sweet and nutty yet ever so slightly medicinal scent or it’s incredibly thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly gelatinous consistency.
