Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire | Lush Christmas 2020 Range | Shower Scrub, Shower Gel, Shower Bomb & Body Milk

Even though I absolutely love their Bath Bombs & Bubble Bars, one of the things that I really like about Lush’s Christmas range definitely has to be their Shower & Body products, as they’re the things that I actually use on a daily basis. That’s why when I went to Lush White Rose a couple of weeks ago to check out all of their Christmas 2020 range, I obviously had to stop by their Shower & Body Care Department to check out all of their delicious smelling Christmas Shower Scrubs, Shower Gels, Shower Bombs, and Body Milks. Well after giving everything a good sniff, I eventually picked up a Tub of the Orange Shower Scrub, a Bottle of the Roasting Chestnuts On An Open Fire Shower Gel, a Sugar Plum Shower Bomb, and a Bottle of the Yog Nog Body Milk, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Lush say about all four delicious smelling products.

The Orange Shower Scrub.

A natural Exfoliator, this Sea Salt Scrub brightens Skin while the Vitamin C rich Orange scent uplifts your Mind in an aromatherapy Shower.

How to use.

The perfect Orange to find in your Christmas Stocking. Grab a handful and rub in small circular motions then rinse.
Use it on Wet Skin for a gentle Scrub, or try it on Dry Skin for a really good buff before you step into the Shower.
Our Seas Salt is harvested by hand from Salt Pans in Portugal. Occasionally the process leaves tiny specs of natural imperfections, visible against the vibrant Orange

The Roasting Chestnuts On An Open Fire Shower Gel.

This Marzipan scented Christmas Shower Gel will calm Skin with soothing Oat Milk and Chestnut Puree, and help to make the season bright.

How to use.

We don’t need to tell you how to use this, but you might want to tell others about your soothed Skin after splashing around in this Oat and Chestnut delight.

The Sugar Plum Shower Bomb.

One Christmas Shower serving of Plastic Free Foam for a fruity cleanse. Plum Juice and Osmanthus Absolute bring a sweet, luxurious wash.

How to use.

Take into the Shower and fizz up into one serving of cleansing Foam.

How to store.

Keep this Shower Bomb in a cool, dark place. Just like Plums, this is best used fresh.

The Yog Nog Body Milk.

Wrap your Body in this sweet and light-weight Christmas Body Milk, full of Almond Oil to soothe and Clove Oil to leave Skin radiant.

How to use.

A little goes a long way. This Vegan Body Milk is completely Self Preserving so only uses natural ingredients to preserve it. Apply to Dry Skin and it will sink right in.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Fine Sea Salt, Fresh Orange Peel Infusion, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Limonene, Fresh Orange Juice, Sicilian Red Mandarin Oil, Tangerine Oil, Bergamot Oil, Orange Peel Wax, Lactic Acid, Lauryl Betaine, Citral, Linalool, Fragrance, and Colour 15510, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly sour Orange scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a Bottle of Orange Fanta.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Scrub, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gritty, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery Facial Serum with little pieces of grit in it rather than a thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly gritty Shower Scrub.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bitt of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery Facial Serum with little pieces of grit in it into a thin and watery Shower Gel with massive pieces of Sea Salt in it that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky smooth, soft, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly sour Orange for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as even though this came in a tall cylindrical Black Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves, I found that it’s Lid never properly closed which meant that I kept finding random pieces of Sea Salt all over my Shower.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Oat Milk, Glycerine, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Fine Sea Salt, Propylene Glycol, Fragrance, Chestnut Puree, Almond Essential Oil, Cassia Oil, Clary Sage Oil, Cedarwood Oil, Xanthan Gum, Titanium Dioxide, Guar Gum, Cinnamal, Eugenol, Linalool, Colour 15985:1, and Colour 19140:1, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly woody Cherry Bakewell scent to it that kind of reminded me of being sat by a roaring Fire eating a Bakewell Tart on a freezing cold Winter’s Day.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shower Gel, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and gloopy yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thin and gloopy yet ever so slightly watery Hyaluronic Acid Serum rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gloopy Shower Gel.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and gloopy yet ever so slightly watery Hyaluronic Acid Serum into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly frothy Shower Gel that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly woody Cherry Bakewell for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Clear Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Bicarbonate, Cream Of Tartar, Citric Acid, Potato Starch, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Calcium Lactate Gluconate, Sodium Alginate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Fragrance, Sicilian Red Mandarin Oil, Aniseed Oil, Osmanthus Absolute, Tagetes Oil, Fresh Plum Juice, Icing Sugar, Titanium Dioxide, Water, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Tin Oxide, Benzyl Alcohol, Limonene, Colour 17200, and Colour 42090, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Plum scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you’ve just taken a massive Plum Pudding out of the Oven on Christmas Day.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had held it under some running Water for a couple of seconds, it started to release lots of thick and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Foam with little pieces of grit in it that spread really easily across my Body.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth and intensely hydrated, but it also left it smelling of delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Plum for hours after I had used it.

It’s scent.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Almond Oil, Propylene Glycol, DRF Alcohol, C13-15 Alkane, Cetearyl Olivate & Sorbitan Olivate, Fragrance, Clove Bud Oil, Ylang Ylang Oil, Sodium Alginate, Gardenia Extract, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Eugenol, Farnesol, Linalool, and Colour 19140:1, I thought that it had a very overpowering sickly sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly spicy melted Butter scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you churn your own Butter.

It’s consistency.

I absolutely loved it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Body Milk, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous, and was more like an incredibly thin and creamy yet  ever so slightly gelatinous Body Yoghurt rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Body Milk.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Body Yoghurt into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly watery Body Milk that instantly sank into my Skin.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left it smelling of very overpowering sickly sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly spicy melted Butter for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Clear Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lush Orange Shower Scrub a nine point five out of ten, the Lush Roasting Chestnuts On An Open Fire Shower Gel a nine out of ten, the Lush Sugar Plum Shower Bomb an eight point five out of ten, and the Lush Yog Nog Body Milk a five out of ten. I really liked the Lush Orange Shower Scrub, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and zesty yet ever so slightly sour Orange scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it had come in a Bottle with a clickable Lid rather than a Tub with a screw top Lid and that it was part of their main range. I really liked the Lush Roasting Chestnuts On An Open Fire Shower Gel, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly woody Cherry Bakewell scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was part of their main range. I really liked the Lush Sugar Plum Shower Bomb, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly floral Plum scent, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wish that it was available as either a Bath Bomb or a Shower Gel. I really liked the Lush Yog Nog Body Milk, as I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I unfortunately just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very overpowering sickly sweet and creamy yet ever so slightly spicy melted Butter scent.
