Picking Up A Bunch Of Korean Beauty When I Visit The Supermarket | Aldi Lacura Korean Beauty Range

I absolutely love that both Korean Beauty and Skincare has become so widely available in the UK lately, as for years you’ve unfortunately only been able to buy it through specialist retailers like Yes Style. That’s why when I saw that Aldi had launched an entire Korean inspired Beauty range whilst I was doing my weekly Food Shop a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to check it out. Well after checking everything out, I eventually picked up a Jar of the Lacura Papaya Enzyme Face Scrub, a Bottle of the Lacura Plum Hyaluronic Acid Serum, a Jar of the Lacura Avocado Bright Eyes Overnight Retinol Sleeping Mask, and a Jar of the Lacura Banana Soufflé Face Cream, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

Here’s what Aldi say about all four amazing products.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Cellulose, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Sweet Almond Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Carbomer, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Fragrance, Camellia Seed Oil, Pineapple Fruit Extract, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Citric Acid, Malic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Lactobacillus Ferment, Alcohol, Papain, Lecithin, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Papaya Fruit Extract, Mango Fruit Extract, Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Kiwi Fruit Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Hydroxide, Mica, Tin Oxide, Hexyl Cinnamal, CI 77891, and CI 77491, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly bitter Papaya scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you cut into a perfectly ripened Papaya.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Face Scrub, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gritty, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery Foaming Face Wash with little pieces of Bamboo Stem Extract in it rather than a thick and gloopy yet ever so slightly gritty Face Scrub.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery Foaming Face Wash with little pieces of Bamboo Stem Extract in it into a thin and gritty yet ever so slightly balmy Microdermabrasion Face Scrub that spread really easily across my Face.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky smooth, soft, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for hours after I had used it.,

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Glass Jar with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Glycerin, Propenediol, Pentylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Citrate, Polysorbate 20, Panthenol, Irish Moss Powder, Xanthan Gum, Phytic Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Tremella Fuciformis Polysaccharide, Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Fragrance, Kakadu Plum Fruit Extract, Burdekin Plum Fruit Extract, Plum Pine Fruit Extract, Collagen Amino Acids, Citric Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate, Pomegranate Fruit Extract, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, and Spinach Leaf Extract, I thought that it had a delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly grassy Cherry and Plum scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had blended up an entire Punnet of Cherries and Plums to make a Smoothie.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Hyaluronic Acid Serum, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Facial Serum rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Hyaluronic Acid Serum.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Facial Serum into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Hyaluronic Acid Serum that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I did however notice that it left my Skin feeling rather sticky for at least two or three minutes after I had used it though, but that pretty much disappeared once I had applied a little bit of Moisturiser.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall grooved Glass Bottle with a Rubber Pipette Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called an Overnight Mask, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Body Butter rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Overnight Mask.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Under Eyes, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Body Butter into a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Night Cream that sank into my Skin within a matter of minutes.
It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Under Eyes feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised, but it also left them looking extremely glowing, radiant, brighter, a little bit younger and much healthier for at least 24 hours after I had used it.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Soufflé Face Cream, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gloopy, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gloopy Hyaluronic Acid Serum rather than a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly airy Soufflé Face Cream.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gloopy Hyaluronic Acid Serum into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly creamy Gel Cream Moisturiser that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Glass Bottle with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Aldi Lacura Papaya Enzyme Face Scrub a nine out of ten, the Aldi Lacura Plum Hyaluronic Acid Serum a nine out of ten, the Aldi Lacura Avocado Bright Eyes Overnight Retinol Sleeping Mask an eight point five out of ten, and the Aldi Lacura Banana Soufflé Face Cream an eight out of ten. I really liked the Aldi Lacura Papaya Enzyme Face Scrub, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly bitter Papaya scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had come in a much bigger Jar. I really liked the Aldi Lacura Plum Hyaluronic Acid Serum, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious sweet and fruity yet ever so slightly grassy Cherry and Plum scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had smelt a little bit more of Plum. I really liked the Aldi Lacura Avocado Bright Eyes Overnight Retinol Sleeping Mask, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious light and delicate yet ever so slightly grassy Avocado scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it had come in some kind of a Tube instead of a Glass Jar as I tended to apply too much to my Under Eyes whenever I used it. I really liked the Aldi Lacura Banana Soufflé Face Cream, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and fruity yet ever so slightly creamy Banana scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but given that it was called a Soufflé Face Cream it would have been nice if it had felt a little bit more light and airy.
