With all of the cold and unpredictable Weather that we’ve been having lately my Skin has become severely dry and irritated, especially around my Under Eyes, Nose and Jaw line, which means that i’ve been on the lookout for anything that will return it to it’s silky soft, soothed and moisturised feeling former self. That’s why when I saw that By Beauty Bay had released a Moisture Complex + Algae Face Mask that claims to contain a blend of Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium PCA, Urea, and Algae to leave you with silky soft, plump, hydrated and moisturised Skin whilst I was scrolling through their Website a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Its scent.
I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Glycerin, Betaine, Propanediol, Polyacryl Crosspolymer-6, Squalane, Phenoxyethanol, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Torate Copolymer, Sodium PCA, Urea, Menthol Lactate, Green Algae extract, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Sorbitan Isostearate, Polyquaternium-51, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Citric Acid, Maltrodextrin, Tocopherol, and CI 75810, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and creamy yet ever so slightly oceanic Algae scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured an entire Tub of Greek Yoghurt over a massive pile of Seaweed.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Face Mask, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy Gel Cream Moisturiser rather than a thick and creamy yet ever so slightly balmy Face Mask.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly creamy Gel Cream Moisturiser into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly gelatinous Face Mask that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy, hydrated and intensely moisturised ,but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, a little bit younger and much healthier for at least an entire 24 hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked its packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Recycled Plastic Tub with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the By Beauty Bay Moisture Complex + Algae Face Mask a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and creamy yet ever so slightly oceanic Algae scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a much smaller Tub so that I could carry it around with me whenever I used it as a Moisturiser.

I don’t think I’ve ever used an overnight face mask, but I like that you can use it in the morning if you wish. It sounds nice, I could imagine feeling like I was at the seaside with the smell you describe.
