With me having quite a lot of Fine Lines and Wrinkles on my Forehead and around my Eyes after years of squinting at things, one of the things that I always include in my Skincare Routine definitely has to be some kind of Retinol Cream, Serum or Tonic, as it contains Vitamin A to leave you with silky soft, smooth, hydrated and younger-looking Skin. That’s why when I saw that Revolution Skincare had released a 0.5% Retinol & Rosehip Seed Oil Smoothing Serum that claims to leave you with silky soft, smooth, hydrated and younger-looking Skin whilst I was out Shopping a couple off weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Revolution Skincare say about their 0.5% Retinol & Rosehip Seed Oil Smoothing Serum.
The Revolution Skincare 0.5% Retinol & Rosehip Seed Oil Smoothing Serum is here. An even stronger dose of Retinol goodness!
We’re talking 0.5% of Retinol, the ingredient known for encouraging the natural Cell turnover of your Skin to reveal a smoother complexion and more even Skin Tone. And we’ve combined it with Rosehip Seed Oil, for its Skin conditioning and hydrating properties.
- Encourages an even skin tone.
- Helps condition skin.
- Encourages a healthy complexion.
- Vegan & Cruelty Free.
How To Use.
Massage a few drops into your Skin in the evening as the last step in your Skincare Routine.
Its scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Coconut Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Vegetable Oil, Retinol, Polysorbate 20, BHT, and Salicylic Acid, I thought that it had a very strange deep and musky yet ever so slightly nutty Cardboard scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured some rancid Rainwater over a massive piece of Cardboard.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Retinol Serum, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and oily yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thick and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Facial Oil rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Retinol Serum.
What it did when i used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and oily yet ever so slightly balmy Facial Oil into a thin and oily yet ever so slightly creamy Retinol Serum that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clear, a little bit younger and much healthier for hours after I had used it. I also really liked that it managed to ever so slightly minimise some of the Fine Lines and Wrinkles that are around my Eyes and Forehead, and that it didn’t manage to irritate the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a short cylindrical Glass Bottle with a Rubber Pipette Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.
My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Revolution Skincare 0.5% Retinol & Rosehip Seed Oil Smoothing Serum a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thick and oily yet ever so slightly balmy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange deep and musky yet ever so slightly nutty Cardboard scent. I also wish that it had contained a little bit of either Aloe Vera or Niacinamide to soothe and calm my Skin down after I had used it.
