Gently Peeling Dead Skin Away Every Day | Garnier SkinActive Micellar Gentle Peeling Water | Gifted

I don’t really use Micellar Waters that much any more as I prefer to cleanse my Face using some kind of Cleanser and a Microfibre Cloth, but I do have a Bottle or two of it on Hand for whenever i’m not feeling well or can’t be bothered to properly cleanse my Face. The problem that I have with Micellar Waters though, is that other than removing very stubborn Makeup, unless they contain something extra like Glycolic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, or Vitamin c, there’s really no need to use them. That’s why when the guys over at Garnier very kindly asked me if I would like to try a Bottle of their SkinActive Micellar Gentle Peeling Water that claims to contain a blend of 1% PHA and Glycolic Acid to leave you with cleansed, silky soft, smooth and hydrated Skin, I of course said yes. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

How to use.

Simply apply the product to a Cotton or Eco Pad and wipe across your Face, Eyes, and Lips. No rinsing required. Avoid Sun Exposure; apply an SPF in the Morning after use.

Its scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Hexylene Glycol, Gluconolactone, Glycerin, Pineapple Fruit Extract, Papain, Glycolic Acid, PPG-26-Buuteth-2, PEG-32, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide, Coco-Betaine, Poloxamer 184, Disodium EDTA, Propanediol, Polysorbate-20, Myrtrimonium Bromide, and Fragrance, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and watery yet ever so slightly fruity Watermelon scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you cut into a Watermelon.

It’s consistency.

i really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Micellar Water, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Toner rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had poured some of it on to a Reusable Cotton Round and had started to swipe it across my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Toner into a thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water that spread really easily across my Face.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clear, a little bit brighter and much healthier for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked its packaging, as this came in a tall rounded rectangular Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Gentle Peeling Water a nine out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and watery yet ever so slightly fruity Watermelon scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a much smaller Bottle, as 400ml of a Micellar Water is quite a lot to get through, especially if you’re not using it to remove your Makeup and are only using it as the first step in your Cleansing Routine or as a Toner.
