Both my Hair and Scalp can be an absolute nightmare at times, and can go from being the softest, shiniest and healthiest that they’ve ever been to irritated, dry and flaky within a matter of days. That’s why when the guys over at Garnier very kindly asked me if I would like to try some of their Ultimate Blends Balancing range that claims to use Charcoal and Black Seed Oil to leave you with squeaky clean, silky soft and hydrated Hair as well as a calm and balanced Scalp, I of course said yes. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

It’s scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Isopropyl Myristate, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Soybean Oil, Nigella Seed Oil, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Charcoal Powder, Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Caprylyl Glycol, Citric Acid, Tartaric Acid, Polyglycerin-10, Polyglyceryl-10 Myristate, Polyglyceryl-10 Stearate, Cetyl Esters, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Benzoic Acid, Caramel, Linalool, Limonene, Benzyl Alcohol, and Fragrance, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly masculine Charcoal scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured an entire Bottle of very high end Men’s Shower Gel over a massive Block of Charcoal.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Shampoo, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Shower Gel rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gelatinous Shampoo.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Hair, it turned from an incredibly thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Shower Gel into a thick and frothy yet ever so slightly creamy Shampoo that spread really easily through my Hair.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Hair and Scalp feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, soothed, balanced, thicker, fuller, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left my Hair looking extremely volumised, a lot shinier and much healthier for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall rounded rectangular Plastic Bottle with a clickable Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves. I also really liked that it’s clickable Lid was at the top so that I instantly knew just by feeling it that it was the Shampoo and not the Conditioner.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Hair, it turned from an incredibly thick and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Body Lotion into a thin and creamy yet ever so slightly oily Conditioner that spread really easily through my Hair.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Hair and Scalp feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, soothed, balanced, thicker, fuller, plump, bouncy, moisturised and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely volumised, a lot shinier and much healthier for hours after I had used it,,

It’s packaging.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Garnier Ultimate Blends Balancing Shampoo with Charcoal & Black Seed Oil a nine out of ten, the Garnier Ultimate Blends Balancing Conditioner with Charfcoal & Black Seed Oil a nine out of ten, and the Garnier Ultimate Blends Hair Remedy Mask with Charcoal & Black Seed Oil a nine point five out of ten. I really liked the Garnier Ultimate Blends Balancing Shampoo with Charcoal & Black Seed Oil, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly masculine Charcoal scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a much smaller Bottle. I really liked the Garnier Ultimate Blends Balancing Conditioner with Charcoal & Black Seed Oil, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly masculine Charcoal scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a much smaller Bottle. I really liked the Garnier Ultimate Blends Balancing Hair Remedy Mask with Charcoal & Black Seed Oil, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly masculine Charcoal scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wish that it was available in a much smaller Tub.
