I’m always trying to make more eco-friendly choices when it comes to my Skincare Routine by switching to more solid products, like Solid Body Lotions, Moisturisers, and Shampoo Bars. Unfortunately though, one of the things that I really struggle to find definitely has to be a Solid Cleansing Bar, as given that my Skin is so unpredictable, it’s really tricky to find one that I can use when my Skin is feeling both oily and dry. That’s why wen The guys over at Garnier very kindly asked me if I would like to try one of their Pure Active Anti-Spot and Blackhead Solid Wash Charcoal Bars that claims to leave you with squeaky clean, hydrated and clearer-looking Skin, I of course said yes. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

How to use.
1. Apply Water to your Neck, Face and Body.
2. Wash by rubbing the Bar into effected areas, turn off the Tap in the meantime.
3. Rinse thoroughly.
4. Store the Soap in a Soap Dish to avoid Black Stains.
It’s scent.
I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Sodium Palmate, Sodium Cocoate, Water, Glycerin, Fragrance, Perlite, Zinc PCA, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Hydroxide, Charcoal Powder, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate, and Salicylic Acid, I thought that it had a delicious deep and earthy yet ever so slightly musky Charcoal scent to it that kind of reminded me of the scent you smell whenever you open a massive Bag of Charcoal Briquettes.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage it into my Skin, it started to create an incredibly thick and frothy yet ever so slightly creamy lather that spread really easily across my Face, Neck and Body. I also really liked that as I used the Bar more and more, that it also revealed little pieces of Mineral Exfoliants that had been embedded into the Bar that managed to give my Skin a very deep but gentle scrub as I massaged it into my Face, Neck and Body.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, matte, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, clear and much healthier for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a very thick Paper Wrapper that kept the Bar really fresh until I was ready to use it.
