I absolutely love having silky soft, hydrated and glowing-looking Skin, as even though it can sometimes emphasise the Patches of Eczema that I get underneath my Eyes, I would always prefer to look healthy and hydrated rather than dry, dehydrated or like i’ve just been dug up from a Grave. That’s why when I saw that Latest In Beauty had released a The Glow Plan Beauty Edit with Abigail James that contained a Bottle of Lumene Nordic-C [Valo] Glow Boost Essence that claims to leave you with silky soft, hydrated and glowing-looking Skin whilst I was scrolling through TikTok a couple of weeks ago, I obviously had to pick it up. Well i’ve been using it for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of it.

Here’s what Lumene say about their Nordic-C [Balo] Glow Boost Essence.

Apply to the Face and Neck after cleansing.

Its scent.

I absolutely loved it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Butylene Glycol, Propamediol, Glycerin, Cloudberry Fruit Extract, Cloudberry Seed Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Betaine, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Saccharide Isomerate, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Xylitylglucoside, Sodium Hyaluronate, Xanthan Gum, Anhydroxylitol, Trehalose, Urea, Disodium EDTA, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Maltodextrin, Xylitol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Citrate, Adenosine, Pentylene Glycol, Serine, Citric Acid, Algin, Caprylyl Glycol, Disodium Phosphate, Glyceryl Polyacrylate, Pullman, Potassium Phosphate, Limonene, Linalool, Citral, and Fragrance, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly zesty Sea Water scent to it that kind of reminded me of walking past the Sea at high tide on a boiling hot Summer’s Day.

It’s consistency.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Facial Essence, I thought that it felt incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery, and was more like an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Gel rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Facial Essence.

What it did when I used it.

I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had started to massage a little bit of it into my Skin, it turned from an incredibly thick and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Cleansing Gel into a thin and gelatinous yet ever so slightly watery Hyaluronic Acid Serum that sank into my Skin within a matter of seconds.

It’s results.

I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly silky soft, smooth, plump, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing, radiant, brighter, a little bit younger and much healthier for hours after I had used it.

It’s packaging.

I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s packaging, as even though this came in a short cylindrical Glass Bottle with a Rubber Pipette Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves, it also had some kind of stopper inside it’s Bottle that stopped the Rubber Pipette Lid from properly  coming out meaning that I couldn’t quickly use it one handed like most of the other Skincare that I use in my Skincare Routine.

My overall thoughts.

Overall I would have to rate the Lumene Nordic-C [Valo] Glow Boost Essence an eight point five out of ten. I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and oceanic yet ever so slightly zesty Sea Water scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, and it’s results, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very frustrating to use packaging as i’m not sure why there needed to be any kind of a Stopper inside it’s Bottle.
