Ive absolutely loved trying the Aldi Lacura Skincare range, well the things that i’ve managed to get my Hands on, but the products that everyone always seems to rave about is their Healthy Glow Toners. That’s why when I had heard that they had released their Lacura Healthy Glow Glycolic Toner and their Lacura Healthy Glow Retinol Toner again, I obviously had to pop down to my local Aldi store and pick them both up. Well i’ve been using them for a little while now, and I thought that I would tell you what I thought of them.

The Aldi Lacura Healthy Glow Glycolic Toner.
It’s scent.
I wasn’t really a massive fan of it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Glycolic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Betaine, Polysorbate 20, Phenoxyethanol, Allantoin, Witch Hazel Water, Benzophenone-4, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance, Ethylhexylglycerin, Aloe Vera Leaf Powder, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, , Linalool, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Caramel, and CI 14700, I thought that it had a very strange fresh and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Lily scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured some Talcum Powder over a massive Bouquet of dead Lilies.
It’s consistency.
I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Toner, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gloopy Toner.
What it did when I used it.
I really liked what this did when I used it, as once I had poured a little bit of it on to a Cotton Wool Round and had started to swipe it across my Face, it turned from an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water into a thin and watery Toner that instantly sank into my Skin.
It’s results.
I absolutely loved it’s results, as not only did this leave my Skin feeling incredibly squeaky clean, silky soft, smooth, bouncy and intensely hydrated, but it also left it looking extremely glowing and radiant for hours after I had used it.
It’s packaging.
I really liked it’s packaging, as this came in a tall cylindrical Plastic Bottle with a screw top Lid that looked beautiful sat on my Beauty Shelves.

I really liked it’s scent, as even though it contained Water, Niacinamide, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Betaine, Polysorbate 20, Sodium Citrate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Panthenol, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Hydroxyacetophenone, Fragrance, Sodium Hyaluronate, Jasmine Flower Water, Poloxamer 235, Retinol, Sodium Ascorbate, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, EGCG, Rosemary Leaf Oil, BHT, Lavender Oil, Salicylic Acid, Jasmine Oil, Linalool, and Coumarin, I thought that it had a delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Jasmine scent to it that kind of reminded me of if someone had poured some Jasmine Oil into an entire Bottle of Baby Oil.

I really liked it’s consistency, as even though it was called a Toner, I thought that it felt incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy, and was more like an incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy Micellar Water rather than a thin and watery yet ever so slightly gloopy Toner.

I also really liked that I could use it on the nights when I wasn’t using a Retinol Serum to achieve the same effects in the morning, but given that it contained a very low percentage of Retinol, it probably wasn’t doing that much to my Skin.

My overall thoughts.
Overall I would have to rate the Aldi Lacura Healthy Glow Glycolic Toner an eight out of ten, and the Aldi Lacura Healthy Glow Retinol Toner a nine out of ten. I really liked the Aldi Lacura Healthy Glow Glycolic Toner, as I absolutely loved it’s incredibly thin and watery yet ever so slightly balmy consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I just wasn’t a massive fan of it’s very strange fresh and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Lily scent. I really liked the Aldi Lacura Healthy Glow Retinol Toner, as I absolutely loved it’s delicious fresh and floral yet ever so slightly powdery Jasmine scent, it’s consistency, what it did when I used it, it’s results, and it’s packaging, but I would have just liked it to have contained a higher percentage of Retinol so that it was actually doing something for my Skin.
I’ve been using Aldi glycolic toner. I had open pores and spots around my nose. After using this product this has completely disappeared. Absolutely love this product. Would be good for spot prone skin.
